  1. I've only done in it in the past few years for other people, but I've usually had other people do it for me because he is that one or two guys who just have massive line for safety reasons basically your given a sticky note to put your name on if you want it personalized and hand it to Stan's handler. I was able each time to say color and point at the spot I wanted sign, but nothing else.
  2. Superman is officially on his second reboot. I think your missing the point Mendelson is trying to say he wants Hollywood to cut the number of sequels/reboots/remakes down and come up with original films. I would point to the overall picture of Hollywood right now outside of comic films that fit this category
  3. Trust me I know the value of his autograph and how many out there is. Let's just say it'll go for $50 when he dies depending if the autograph is on an item that will sell. As far as the experience man I feel sorry if you are paying for an experience with how his lines have been handled lately in the last 3 years or so.
  4. So what happens when you pass away and your family needs money. A photo of a nobody with a signed photo Stan Lee will be a hard sell. It's like a personalization hard sell. Think of your family and not yourself. As far as a Lee signature on a letter with Ditko. It sounds cool, but he has been signing over autographs lately on a more frequent ratio. That is a risk you take.
  5. Yes I understand, but they have to do this for safety reasons
  6. Go with getting a signed comic. Your family will have a difficult time selling a signed photograph of yourself with him
  7. A. He won't write Excelsior for you. He might do To Aliens B. Stan's autograph is terrible looking now and in the last year he has been notorious of signing over other people's autographs. So he might just sign over Steve Ditko's autograph just saying. Your best off getting a comic he actually worked on like a Captain America #3 and having him sign it or a book he is on the cover of than getting it slabbed.
  8. A 987 million dollar overall domestic take is what It needs altogether to beat The Exorcist
  9. What is Amazing it took almost 44 years to beat that record considering inflating ticket prices and less screens The Exorcist had to screen on
  10. I actually find Homecoming to be the better film of the two myself, but I can't argue with the facts that present themselves.
  11. Jaydog we all understand your having a Fanboy moment and can't admit your wrong. The question is which film in the end when all money is in will make more of a profit once expenses came out? The answer is Wonder Woman most likely by 60 to 80 million since Spidey's two big markets the film is performing are near the end of their runs and not enough to make up the gap.
  12. Can Homecoming make up a roughly 120 million profit gap with the markets left? Nope
  13. Hmmm it is a little more complicated than you think. As of right now Wonder Woman is actually about 120 million ahead of Spider-Man Homecoming when it comes to the overall profit of what the studio will receive if all the expenses came out today. That is also not including revenue shares and bonuses that will need to be paid out. Hmm Spider-Man Homecoming had a $250 million dollar commercial made for the film called Captain America Civil War that was well received, Spidey was brought into the MCU that means extra ticket sales for those people who feel they have to see every film in the MCU Universe coming in, and Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man was in the film all that should have pushed the film to over 400 million especially if Spidey is the so called top two superhero in the world. I would argue Superman's S and the bat symbol are more recognizable. What incentive did people have to go see Wonder Woman? The DCU has been performing badly since Man of Steel. Every film in that series had gotten a rotten rating. Wonder Woman had a much higher hill to climb than Spidey Homecoming ever did. You should look at the numbers below and do homework.
  14. Jay I am not telling you Spider-Man Homecoming was not a good film. What I am saying is when all said and done the film did not beat Wonder Woman in overall profit once the final numbers are in. That Spider-Man Homecoming should have performed on a much higher level given the premarketing money spent, character's popularity, the switch over to MCEU making it a wider audience, and the high critical acclaim. All that should have led to a film that performed much better domestically than it did where a film can gain more profit than anywhere else. The fact is the film failed on that front. This film should have made over a billion dollars worldwide yet got out performed by Wolf Warrior 2.
  15. You demonstrated your lack of understanding of how foriegn income works vs domestic. A lack of understanding of how much more Spidey's promotional budget not included in the regular budget would be than Wonder Woman's. Homecoming is a failure compared to Wonder Woman
  16. Yet Wonder Woman will be the more profitable film in the end.
  17. Sad to hear he passed away. I knew he was on borrowed time when I saw him a few years back at Phoenix Comicon he looked terrible. Trimpe's passing was the shocker to me. This is the best piece Wein signed for me and is one of the rarest signed comic in the census since it is signed by Glynis Oliver.
  18. What a film pulls in per dollar domestically compared to what the film pulls in from international is much different per dollar. You have conversion fees, taxes, and more in some countries a film only takes in 20 cents to the dollar. You also have to factor in the advertising budget for Homecoming is also higher than Wonder Woman's advertising budget which is seperate from the production budget. Wonder Woman delivered more money to the studios after expenses than Spider-Man Homecoming did.
  19. Is the film less of a success than Wonder Woman? Yes, but that is because of how much more was spent on the budget and then you have to throw in advertising costs for a higher budget film. Wonder Woman's domestic profit means more in the coffers in the end run for that film vs SpiderMan Homecoming. Is the film less than a success than other films released under the Marvel banner? Yes and no is the short answer. I think this film should have done over 400 million considering it was brought into the MCU, guest starring Iron Man, and Michael Keaton guest playing Birdman again. Those extra additions should have meant a lot more. That said the reviews were great, the audiences loved it, and We have a Spidey people can like. So success and failure. The real failure here comes from the studios domestic numbers are down for multiple reasons. So the question is how do you fix that to make people come back. I'll admit I got pissed over the weekend and just said I'm tired of annoying audiences. So
  20. They are predicting a very heavy drop Sunday as well based on previous Horror films. Yet it is not playing like previous horror films this film does have a chance to beat Deadpool this weekend if it loses only 16 percent of yesterday's take compared to the 50 percent they are predicting. I think there might be a pleasant surprise tomorrow once all numbers are in
