  1. They have been tricked in your mind. You are not being confrontational more of entitled feeling coming from you.
  2. What are you planning to do with your signed Falco record?
  3. Respect doesn't work that way just because you are his fan does not mean the creator has to respect you. Always keep a receipt and a written record of the agreed upon service done through email. If the artist refuses to honor ask for a refund or refuse the work. As long as they tell you up front "For Ebay" and or "Do Not Slab" will be written on the book and gave you the option, then they respected your property enough to give you that warning and left you an option for their service or not. HaHaHaHa There is always enough fans to replace the ones that leave. It's like thinking you are indispensable at a work place unless you are the owner you are dispensable. Maybe they think your behavior is rude. Greedy practices? Hmm if they care more about money than fans that is their business not yours. Maybe they want to make sure they have enough money for retirement and know there is only so long to bring it in before they are not as popular as they once were. Maybe it is disgruntled fans who think they are entitled to something they are not actually entitled making the business not fun for others to quit. If you don't like it then don't participate in it. If that is what the creator wants is money if the item is being submitted then that is their choice and entitled to, your thoughts on is none of their business as to what happens to the item afterwards and why are they asking you upfront is their right. They have the right to refuse to serve you which is the action of signing the comic
  4. Your telling me on the amount between the grading charge and the bump up in charge to make it an SS there is not some wiggle room to give Liefeld some money in there? I believe there is some room.
  5. I have a simple guess he was offered a lucrative contract to be exclusive to a certain company because it involves more money he accepted it. All About the Benjamins. Also based on who Liefeld is, so that other company got purchased by a bigger company who has a reality tv star with them maybe that tv star offered Liefeld a spot on Pawn Stars to be the main comics and comics art evaluator.
  6. I felt we hit a wall awhile back with Civil War, it is just when is the foreign market going to drop out and we already seeing signs of that.
  7. I'm not complaining it is how their actions and prices speak as apart of their character. I honestly think he got offered lucrative contract and took it. It's not that he has an issue with CGC just one place offered him more.
  8. I read the opening post and can put it towards the character of person he is. Liefeld and a few other creators cough N. Adams cough are simply greedy and both come across as they only care about money. Liefeld was probably offered a lucrative contract by a certain grading company who was just acquired by one of the biggest overall grading companies in the world who has Steve Grad with them the autograph authenticator from Pawn Stars. Grad could have easily put Liefeld in as comics/comic art evaluator expert for Pawn Stars to make TV appearances on the show.
  9. If that is what you want to believe. Most creators are very informed on what CGC is and what they do. All I can say is some of the people who post on here sound like disgruntled fans who don't like what the system has evolved into. Liefeld has no issue with CGC. My guess is very simple a certain company was acquired by a larger company who has Steve Grad as the head signature verification. Maybe with bigger stuff behind that company now they offered an exclusive. Maybe Grad introduced Liefeld to Rick of Pawn Stars to where Liefeld is going to be the comics expert on the show now. It's all about the Benjamins and his brand and what he thinks will elevate it.
  10. Yep her choice and her justified reasons. You may not like her decision. It's like bringing a copy of Playboy to Nicola Bryant to sign she just won't sign it because of the photographer her choice.
  11. The creators are giving you a service. The creator has the right to know what his services are being used for and the right to charge the appropriate amount. If he doesn't want his signature slabbed or wants to charge a premium for going into slab that is his choice. It's like Tim Curry charging me $200 to sign my poster based on size and type of item despite he lower rates as well to sign items that was his choice or Lee Meriwhether's choice to sign my poster for 60 when she would of only charged me 30 for one of her 8x11 that she would of signed. You can't control what they charge or even really complain about it much, if you don't like the price of the service don't pay it and refuse the service. Don't cry over spilt milk. I'm happy with the current system.
  12. I have ran multiple shows and I can safely say I would never endorse a panel that is race, gender, religious, or political specific that would exclude people not of those groups from coming in. It is just not good business. Maybe I am writer/creator/artist and I came up with a character, but somehow something just is not right. Maybe I decide I need help fixing and possibly partnering with someone on my creation that I can give cocreator credits to. What if I want that person to be of a certain gender because I believe a lady's touch is what a woman character needs, maybe I decide to give it the opportunity to an African American because the character has an African American background, and so forth, or maybe I am a person in confusion and just wants to ne educated on social issues.
  13. So if a Nazi, KKK, Crypts, or the Bloods submit the proper paperwork you would sign off on the panel and put it on your shows list of events you endorsed.
  14. Yeah he came up to me and said Stan Lee wants to buy that poster you own. I said no and walked away. Yet I got an email from another few times asking the same thing. Said no each time and he stopped. What the heck does Stan need with a cast signed 3 sheet Original Theatrical Poster from the first Star Wars film. A few facilitators said that this is a common method Max uses to trick peoole into thinking your item you cherish is now going to be cherished by your idol. On a side note Stan announced his retirement awhile back seems to me Max was forcing Stan to do these last signings in terrible conditions. Why is a man as old as Stan signing that man items now? Stan should be signing only 100 to 200 items at most a show in his current condition.
  15. About 50/50 liked it or didn't like it, but yeah they considered it spamming the thread. I think the issue in general of talk going down is because the autograph market is slowing down and the number of people getting sketch covers done is going down. As well as some facilitators taking advantage of the group in which comics and money sent in were in some degree stolen that involved some high profile artists being taken advantage of as well. All that was happening around the same time too much drama. That is what caused the talk ti go down
  16. I understand you had a negative interaction with the show and made that point clear, I am unsure why you are bringing this back up a year afterwards. I'm going to the Hollywood Show myself this year and the staff is friendly I get my own items signed by myself or a CGC facilitator. It is not an issue if you work under those parameters.
  17. Just came back from Ace Comic Con. Thank you Kevlar.
  18. Maybe give us a Star Trek Version of The Hateful 8 with suspense and surprise who better to do that with the Klingons
  19. I can see Tarantino’s Version now. It’s set in a Mirror/Mirror Universe that is suspenseful, bloody, and a lot of action.
  20. I can't think of a better person to write and direct a Star Trek film. Besides we could get Kill Bill 3 and 4 featuring William Shatner.
  21. Yes my unsigned Detective Comics #27 will be going for a premium since Sheldon Cooper had all the other known copies signed by Stan Lee
