Can someone give MMs #'s 9 and 10 to those of us who don't have them, so we can read the stories and make our own judgments? (Hey, I tried...)

My local library has some 100 Bullets TPBs, and I plan on getting to them once I'm done with all the Preacher TPBs (I've read the first eight and have one left).

Kudos to Zonker, who sold me some nice SA Green Lantern reader copies at a great price. Got to meet him and have lunch (and didn't have to pay shipping for the comics!). First fellow forum member I've ever met in person (and interestingly enough, he works for a company I've done several contracts for in the past). Great guy to meet and hang out with. I'll hopefully be getting some more stuff from him in two weeks when I get paid again! Thanks, Zonker!

I was thinking the same thing! How these unsuspecting people were able to realize in seconds that they were being chased by Uklatrebb the Odorous is...well, a little mystifying. Ah, the magic and wonder of comics! Thanks to everyone for sharing the covers, too. Good stuff!

Thanks! I still can't believe I own them. I wish they'd give me 40% off every time I go there - I'd be willing to spend a lot more money if I got that great of a deal every time! I've thought about asking, based on how much I'd love to spend. You never know 'til you ask, right? I also got a lower-grade copy of Detective Comics #259, but it's technically not in the GA, so I didn't post a scan of that here. There's not a "Have a Cigar!" topic for the SA, so there's nowhere to post it.

Thanks! It was quite a pleasant surprise to be able to get them. I'm finally dipping my big toe into the Golden Age! I thought it would be years before I was able to do that.

Well, I'm sure they do, but no, that wasn't the store. Foundation's Edge right off Hillsborough St. across from NCSU's campus. The sale was this past weekend, but they said they only advertised it to their subscribers (I just happened to go into the store). They have another big annual sale on Feb. 14th for all the V-Day haters.

And here's the third one (Superman #62). Not a high-grade copy, but not a high-dollar one, either.

And here's the second one (Detective Comics # 151). I got these thinking that I'd sell them at some point in the future and (hopefully) more than make my money back (since I got them with the discount), but I don't know...I love this old stuff! It's nice to own them and to have gotten such a good deal on them.

I had a piece of great luck this past Sunday. I went to a LCS that I hadn't been to in quite a while, and they were having their annual fall sale, with 35% off all back issues. I decided to take advantage of it and get a few things I would NEVER have gotten if not for the sale. Once the owner saw some of the issues I'd picked out, he decided to give me 40% off instead of 35%. So I basically got these for 40% below guide. Even though I don't normally collect these titles, I was VERY happy with my purchase. Here's the first one (Wonder Woman #41):

I don't have any Timely's to share, but I do want to share my appreciation for everyone who's shared theirs. I also want to share my jealousy! You guys have some sweeeeet books. I sure wish I could afford to get them all.
