  1. I'm also guessing this is a Registry scoring question. If so, this is the wrong forum for the post (hence all of us confused boardies)... Try here... https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/forum/33-cgc-registry/
  2. I think the problem with these statements is that you assumed each card had 2.6 million copies printed. It seems more accurate that the total print run was 2.6 million cards (vs. 2.6 million of each card). With 295 cards in Alpha, the average print run per card was ~8,800. Obviously, not all cards were printed equally, so rares being around 1,100 each sounds correct to me.
  3. Yes, CGC will grade this card. No, CGC will not leave it in its wrapper.
  4. No, and they shouldn't. This is not a printing error or defect, but rather a an issue with packing, shipment, and/or handling that caused the issue. As @maidenmate91 said, there will likely be a demand and premium paid for NM+ copies.
  5. The Lobo book showcases what I imagine would be a belt buckle. Provocative, sure... but... The UPC placement of this ROM book leaves even more to the imagination. What is that UPC code hiding? Why did someone place it right there? Do Cyborgs even have anything to hide? That sort of mystery would be the whole allure to a book like that.
  6. Let the memes begin!!!! I posted the "safe" Spidey head one above.
  7. The image you posted looked a little weird in that LLC. I found a better one for you. Also, can you imagine the premium this book would command these days? This would be another Rifleman #10 or Alf #48.
  8. Based on the reflection, it looks like Wolverine himself took this photo!
  9. Or he's a marketing genius! Think of all the variants of capes he could sell to all the kiddos. Look at the real world. Slap on a variation to some collectible and you've just doubled your sales.
  10. Is it just me, or is anyone else really bothered that the Sword of Omens was referred to as "Thundercat Sword"?
  11. In the context of the story, that is a great score! Taken out of context, though...
  12. And yet, to align with your own arguments, you only reported ONE of these versions paired with an image meant to incite fear, anger, and empathy towards your own message. I assume you also did not experience this first hand and therefore didn't get the straight scoop? Though this may be unintentional on your part, it is indeed manipulative. Passing off a single story (out of about 20) as truth is irresponsible at best and pushes an agenda at worst. I, like many others, didn't spend any more time investigating your claims or checking sources (who has time to do that?). I took your initial word as truth and now question the validity of any subsequent arguments that have been made.
  13. I know, right... I guess my thoughts won't be welcome here. only if mod1 is on vacation I think you misinterpret what I'm saying. Being a lifelong Chicagoan, I'd prefer to celebrate the beauty and positive aspects that the city has to offer. I'd only be spreading love. It's truly awful what is happening in Chicago today, but is by no means representative of the city as a whole, nor of the majority of its residents. The looting and rioting are a coordinated attack on the city and its streets by a number of bad actors, many of whom aren't even from the state of Illinois. This can happen anywhere, and does, though Chicago has been thrust into the spotlight to gain political points and sell ad revenue through negative media coverage. Unless you're a local, you'll never see full-time coverage, including all the positive stories, of this great city in the national media. That's not to say that Chicago does not have its own problems... I'd just prefer not to pile on and instead celebrate things like the Deep Dish pizza, Da Bears, and C2E2.
  14. Do us all a favor and share the username so we can all put him on our block lists and avoid doing business with his store.
  15. I'll be the first to admit that the cumulative restrictions that eBay has made over the years to maintain that status AND get the discount is RIDICULOUS. As little as 5 years ago, you could receive Power Seller and Top Rated status simply by having enough sales and good feedback. The discount was great and automatic, as long as you maintained sales numbers. Then, to compete with the Amazons of the world, eBay started mandating that their sellers offer free shipping to qualify for the discount. (Not a big deal on this one, as you roll shipping costs into the price of the item). Then, there was eBay's insistence on sellers cutting handling times to 1 day or the item will no longer be promoted. Tracking had to be uploaded within one business day. Shortly thereafter, this affected the final value discounts as well. Then, the seller was required to accept a 14 day return policy or the discount and promotions would go away. Then, eBay required the item to be delivered ON TIME... which could be completely dependent on the shipper (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.). If the shipper temporarily lost your package and it was delivered a day late (again, through no fault of your own), you got docked your final value fee discounts. Now, eBay extended the return policy to 30 days AND requires the return shipping to be covered by the seller! All the while, buyer protections continue to increase. Though this is great news for your average, honest buyer, it's like printing free money to all those scam artists that game the system day in and day out... a lot of which is at the cost of the seller. It's no wonder eBay's marketplace continues to tank. They have continued to screw over the suppliers of their distribution model, and forcing them to opt in to a singular payment system is just one more nail in that coffin. Oh, and don't get me started on their failures with the EPN program. Needless to say, I've moved most of my comic sales (especially high dollar books) to other avenues like these Boards.
  16. For those with Top Rated status, setting the handling time to a longer period negates the Top Rated Seller Plus benefits. Those benefits include final value fee discounts and whatever item promotion eBay concocts up (currently just a Top Rated Seller Plus badge in the search results). Trust me, those final value fees can add up. https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/seller-levels-performance-standards/seller-levels-performance-standards?id=4080#whathttp://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/top-rated.html#what
  17. David purchased a couple Wolverine's from me. He stealthily slid into my DMs, dropped a couple of takeits, and finalized the deal before anyone even knew what happened. Great buyer! Would gladly do business with him again and again!
  18. Dan is the MAN! He purchased a bunch of Wolverines from me, had incredible communication, and paid lightning fast! I would gladly do business with him any and every day of the week!
  19. Check to see if your package is eligible for interception. The service isn't guaranteed, and I'm not sure if you need seller cooperation or not. But, it's worth a try. https://retail-pi.usps.com/retailpi/actions/index.action
  20. I'll be leaving this thread open until Friday night. Remember, there is a 10% discount in effect. If that's not good enough for you, feel free to PM me with offers. Recap on Page 1.
