  1. Maybe something went *poof* - seems to be happening on a lot of threads recently, especially in CG.
  2. Yes, well, we all realize you don't actually have weather in Australia, but in the north eastern United States, there is this stuff called "snow" and "ice" which actually prevents people from getting on the roads. Sorry that's lost on you, but by all means, carry on with your constant barrage of negative posts in this thread. -e.s Eric Stephenson Publisher Image Comics, Inc. www.imagecomics.com Oh we have snow and Ice - you may have noticed Aussies have been winning Winter Olympic golds for some time. We also manage to post our mail in it as well.
  3. No suprise here - I would say "NO" to store and Con variants. A genuine 2nd print with a totally different cover ala Peter Panzerfaust - perfect. If you go anywhere near the virus (Phantom) mob,so many people will drop this book that your head will spin. Its undoubtedly the most shameless tedious cash-grab in the market today. No Con variants - people are still reeling from the disclosure that a 500 print run actually means 500 plus however many more the writer feels like printing and keeping for himself. A second print with totally different cover is the way to go - the brown bag with eye-holes that someone suggested is a work of genius. Good luck. And Kudos for being the most approachable (and sober) creator to ever grace these boards! LONG LIVE TODD!
  4. Sure - he/she has a short fuse. But people have had enough goes at trying to light it again. Let it go. The sales are his and Courts business. Baiting Hulk into another strike is pretty childish tbh. Draw a line and move on ( not you personally CBT). Or lock this for good.
  5. Choose his profile, and view his original posts when he joined. A lot of it is left over from his early obnoxious and rude posts. Beyond that, its mostly back and forth debate regarding "overpaying" and defensiveness when its brought up. Ahhh I see. I was wondering why everyone was always all over Hulk44. I don't see. The time for "hate" posts against "obnoxious and rude posts", should be made towards said posts. (if at all) This user purchased a book for more than "majority vote" market value. This user recieved a lot of "hate posts" for doing so. This user recieved a strike for getting out of line defending the purchase. I would have thought this would have ended upon his/her return. I guess not. . 100% agree. Some buffoons just can't let it go - primarily because Court made the sale and another seller with a VERY fragile ego just can't get over that simple fact. The bullying in this thread towards one boardie is despicable - I thought the mods were here to stop this sort of thing. We all know who keeps instigating it - why has this "man" not got a strike? This is 100% trolling and bullying - nothing else.
  6. I agree totally Ryan, It looks like it might come full circle again with all these variants.....just waiting for all the foil covers and bagged ones with a card or something inside Plus sniff-o-covers!
  7. Sorry, forgot to add that Stephenson said that ALL non Image variants are approved by Image. Anyhow...moving on.
  8. Bedlam: -------------- NYCC NYCC Sketch Forbidden Planet Detroit Fanfare Third Eye Phantom Regular 2nd Printing East Of West: ---------------------- RRP Forbidden Planet Ghost Regular East of West has one shop variant, one "shop group" variant, and one official variant which is only available from image's shindig. I think it has a long way to go to be anything like Bedlam. Hickman said he wasnt planning any variants, and in his defense, the ones that have been made have all been made by "other" people. I'd be MORE scared off EoW by it being on the cover of Previews and multiple dudes bragging in the thread about buying 100, than I would be by the variants. It's the overabundance of FIRST PRINTINGS that has held Bedlam back, not the variants imo. Considering 1st prints are still for sale at mycomicshop and midtown, Bedlam clearly didnt "need" a second printing, and the first printing was massively inflated by speculators. That's what I would fear with EoW, but if the story is good, and lots of shops have it, then you could end up with a Saga type book. High print run, but no HUGE drop off in sales to issue #2. Variants arent going to make or break EoW, ultimately it will be quality. my two pennies. Lets see the numbers in a couple of weeks. Or do you know a virus isn't planned? Genuine question. Because if one is, then all the other stores in the virus group will be adding to the total. Then there are the upcoming Cons.... also
  9. Thats not what I mean K and you know that mate. It started as a 'no variant' book. Now look. Theres only the Virus left to come and its associated groupies - *POW* - 10 variants for issue #1. To survive it will have to be better than Bedlam, and tbh, that is a very big ask.
  10. Because its got - "I lied and am actually going to put out 10 variants" Bedlam but worse. Image - what are you doing?
  11. Already bailed K. Moneys back in the bank.
  12. Never minded the Ghosts - I thought Saga and TWD ones were clever and good looking. This ones totally wank though. I'd expect a virus to be this tedious, not a Ghost. Shame.
  13. She reached her potential in the FF movie....
  14. I want to thank everyone that has made a comment. Also big thanks to anyone that has bought a book from me inthe last 6 months or so. Because in some way you have helped fund this. Now yes i have sold most of all my graded comics. So i will be restocking soon. It was a agreement with wife that when house was done. Refinace and pull some equity for comics around $15,000 is what i could get her to agree on. So be posting update in 3 months of finished house/ comic book room. Thats amazing Sir! And what a lovely place to live by the looks of it. May I ask where you live - those trees are stunning.
  15. Since Larry has been mentioned, and for full disclosures sake,I think its well known I can't stand the guy OR his products, can I ask a question? Why is he allowed to make 75% of his posts selling posts? If posting a pic of a new virus variant isn't a blatant "Come and buy this" post then call me Albert. It's plain wrong and he does it week after week. The level of abuse he gives out, without any obvious form of censure is also jaw-dropping. He's one of a select few that can seemingly do what the hell they like without recourse. The Hulk44 strike was a classic example of another boardie, goading and goading until a response was achieved, then as usual, said person humped the mod button like a serial sex offender. Strikes should be handed down regardless of 'status' surely? Thoughts anyone please?
  16. there is still one book that has quietly avoided the Eye of Sauron... And lets keep it that way for a little bit longer eh. Wait for release day and then pump it to hell!
  17. Plus demand hasn't overtaken supply yet. #1 is now selling above cover on ebay - 1 sold for $13, a couple more for $8, so its gaining traction. If you look on ebay its just full of unsold phantoms. Also look at Revival, its exactly the same, page after page of unsold phantom viruses. Baffling business decision by Image tbh As I said before, I'm selling 4-5 per week to regular buyers and a couple on ebay - in fairness, not as many as I would like! The store in Belgium that took most of my Revivals also placed an order for some Bedlam #1's as well. I needed to sell about 36 to break even, and I am almost there. Took a while, but hopefully in two or three weeks its profit time! Hopefully...
  18. Sorry Boss. Forgot rule #7. Won't happen again. The package is in the mail to our man in Stockholm.
  19. Agree HR, can't stand them. Start at the price you are willing to sell at. Simples.
  20. That all sounds well and good, Eric. However, in this case, the 'middle ground' was attempted by one party, and the high ground would have involved blindly hoping the art got sent at some point. IMHO, I'd ve been a little concerned as well if I'd been told 'the art is packed and ready to ship' and 'the art is being sealed', only to subsequently have nothing be sent. If it was a boardie, they'd be on the probation list by now. Busy my arse - if he has time to offer it for sale, then he's got time to ship it. Bad weather!! That has to be the lamest excuse ever. Get his GF to drive to the post office. It really was that easy to fix, and paying out on this Dannyboy fella is total BS. In case anyone forgot (or just butt-kissed because they want something for themselves at some point), the art was done. The artist just couldn't be bothered to get it to the post office.
  21. No,no he doesn't Jimmy. The Australian chapter says "No"
