  1. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NOWHERE-MEN-1-CBLDF-VARIANT-WIZARD-WORLD-PORTLAND-Rare-HTF-LTD-500-NM-In-Hand-/300869682669?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item460d3b05ed Orange now down to $110
  2. Always going to happen. A feeding frenzy of such magnitude - certainly not seen for a while - was always going to have a fair few minnows eaten by sharks. Anyone thinking that these are going to hold up as $100+ comics (let alone " in this.$300) on the basis of a different colour is nuts. And I include the "Bubble: Sell or be left with a pile of drek. Sorry and all that but there were only going to be casualties after this sillyness.
  3. Peter Panzerfaust #8 1st print is a $35 - $50 PP #9 - has hit $25 No suprises there.
  4. i see your point but pm'ing a few people to give fair warning to stock up before you post isn't a big deal either. everyone likes to share info and get recognized for it anyway, so it will never stop, but i do see what cbt is trying to say. you are also right in the sense that this thing we all do isn't rocket science and with a little time, leg work, and trial and error you can become fairly proficient at it all on your own, however there are a lot of lazy lazy people in this world looking for a free lunch. . Sure - can see both sides. However some deals ARE rocket science - The full-timers NEVER reveal a great opportunity until its seized. People don't just suddenly acquire large numbers of super-hot books by going to Midtown......
  5. Is That the infamous Captain Freak in those pics? (kid with the hoodie on) Hall of Shame member extra-ordinaire?
  6. Its a bit silly imo. Do your research and get in first. The lurkers will be doing the same,if they read this forum, its not too hard to work out where the info comes from! I believe in sharing - hence the heads up ober RIPD,Bodie Troll, Bedlam and East of West. Sorry about Great Pacific! (another multiple virus pre-release killed that one - plus it was krap!) Do what you want to do fellas, but a secret PM society is a biy daft. There should be at least 5000 issues to go around.
  7. No, still for sal - I have it priced at $50 odd I think - presents like a good one as well - just want to cover costs etc.
  8. I sell,I put the price up by $5. Sold within 20 minutes today. Keeping at 3 day listings for now, but considering 1 day if this keeps up. Solid around the $100 mark.
  9. Mad Max - all 3 Oh and they are making #4 - dunno how Mel is going to get in that leather.
  10. Yes - now -after the IMDB thing. Is that like a mining settlement - not now. Then - probably. The seventies era - to now - have changed so much. I did some stints at Outoukompu ( a Nickel mine) and Big Bell (Gold). Theres a gym, pool, wet mess (bar), library, restaurant, cleaners, fly-in,fly-out etc etc. Zero tolerance for drunkeness, fighting, drugs etc. At Big Bell, 2 guys punched on - both were on a chartered plane within the hour - gone. The mining industry doesn't need grudges - it's dangerous enough as it is. I did the blood, urine and hair tests etc - plus hearing assessments - no corners were cut - you screw up - you are out. But that movie, whilst filmed in the 70's - probably is representative of the 40's/50's. As you say - crazy film though. For better Aussie stuff: Wolf Creek Tomorrow - when the war began Lantana Romper Stomper Oh and, Priscilla - Queen of The Desert - if you really have too...
  11. Never heard of it tbh - Wolf Creek is a goodie - if you like that sort of thing. Going to IMDB to take a look - thanks Solar (I think.. )
  12. All I know is that anyone who drinks Fosters or XXXX is very likely retarded.
  13. I can't disagrre about the panicking flippers - there was a brutal example for all to see on these very boards - rest assured people, my Bedlam hoard is still safe, my confidence unwavering! I guess we will politely agree to disagree because its too nice a day to bicker over a silly comic book. Out to the pub and then the Aussie Rules Footy with a nice chilli.
  14. One drink is too many Fosters. Fermented Dingo spray - Uugh. However I will be meeting the good woman in 3 hours or so for a nice cold pint of cider - after she finishes work. I had a day unrostered so I can soak in the 27c with my kelpie at the beach. Hard life, but hey, someones got to do it.
  15. Oh ok - I just couldn't figure that out - but yup got the upside down bit. And our water goes around the otherway. Honest.
  16. You too? Thought it was just me. When she started in the last episode I hoped Merle had come in to knock her out. Too much kumbaya
  17. Yeah I got the upside down bit - whats the gambling addition about? - maybe that Wushu guy is too cerebral for me.
  18. Glen Mazzara lets a few secrets out - they were going to kill off Carl! Fascinating read! http://www.best-horror-movies.com/news?name=glen-mazzara-promises-big-things-for-season-3-finale-of-the-walking-dead
  19. Most not all - I'm in for 20 - thats the lot.
  20. Now you are saying variants over priced a book? Its a really hard subject to debate really. I think I will be more careful with newer books and not jump in with both feet unless, like Bedlam,I am certain that the story is so good its a winner. Multiple simultaneous variants will ensure that more creators loose money than gain.
  21. I wouldn't care if they just did like PP and had 1st prints,2nd prints 3rd prints etc. Theres a time lag and a set sequence of release. Thats win / win for everyone. Have 12 different covers of the same book released at the same time helps the creators how? Nobody buys a book they have never heard of because there are heaps of variants. Print the 1st print, then if there is demand, then print the 2nd and so on. Word of mouth selld books, not a skull stuck in the corner. Later printings creates order, variants chaos. I don't hate extra printings being the form of variant, I hate the chaos and uncertainty that having say 6 covers of East of West hit the stores at the same time, which is what happened to Bedlam. Too confusing and actually put readers off. Now word of mouth has spread about how good it is, sales are increasing. If they had just done the one cover, and went to re-print 6 weeks later, everyone,ESPECIALLY the creator, wins.
  22. Out of curiosity.... why? People will think Ezekial is the next big character in a couple weeks' time. And the cycle will continue. Kirkman has stated he has planned Jesus to be a long term character like Michonne. There was speculation RK is planning (unsubstantiated) that it will be a Carl/Jesus team up one day. No other reason, just the successor to Abe.
