  1. Variants and its not even out - FFS guys.......And it's a mini!
  2. Bedlam 1, Regular cover was 24,967. You sure...
  3. If the story matches the killer art - then this book should be a long-term success.
  4. Ok guys, I actually need some ebay advice, despite being a powerseller . Have my Sixth Gun 1 and 2 9.8's coming back. High price with o/bo or run as auction? I'm leaning toward higher price/best offer. Appreciate input. Both. 10 day auction - start at $149 with BIN at $299 Gives you best of both worlds.
  5. One of us provided a link for 9.8's at cover... And this one took advantage of that and thanks you (Haven't looked at em in a while.. Hope they are 9.8s) I did as well. Thanks again, Andy. I've noticed that Awax and I seem to be on the right side of a lot of things recently. Well I hope you are stocked up on Bedlam, Bodie troll and RIPD my friends!
  6. If the price is dropping its time to sell and get the hell outta dodge!
  7. Its only issue #4. The original Image #1 is slowly growing with all the last raw sales above cover. 9.8 hit a high of $75 this week. Seems people prefer the genuine Image product. Stick with it - the story is excellent, and taking away the "cancer" variants as TBP's calls them, then the actual Image run is only 14,000. Slow and steady is the way. (thumbs u
  8. That WOULD be the greatest idea ever. It would get more funds for a good cause and expose this frenzy for what it is - utter madness. Thats all it would take guys - more printed and then your $300 comic is worth $60 if you are lucky. And there is nothing anyone can do to stop Stephenson if he decides to do so. If I was him, I'd be at the presses right now.
  9. Joking aside - means that at least 5 people on here have just lost $60 in 12 hours...... Will there be Jonestown action if it goes to $50 bin......
  10. You sure you don't live in your moms basement?
  11. For those that bought low and sold high - I salute you. For those still to buy - just think! For those who are scraping money together - take your family out for a meal instead. For those keeping some - I wish you well. For those that bought low, sold high and purchased a nice early ASM 8.0 - 9.0, I salute you. You understand how this works. This may be the weekend that the modern secondary market finally began to eat its own. I really hope this was a one off - can anyone here really believe that 2 copies of this book represent the same value as a 9.8 TWD #19? Or that 10 = a 9.0 DD #1? Madness.
  12. I'm pretty sure Ryan that es said himself that 200 copies of one of the 500 print runs were kept for staff and associates. Its quite a few pages back and I can't be arsed to look - but I'm pretty sure he posted it. The legal one perhaps? 200 out of the 500. Which one was it Pie?

  14. Rachel Rising is fantastic. And so is The Last Zombie - maybe we should have a 'lets save a comic' thread. Don't you already have a load of art and issues of the last zombie. Maybe that is clouding your judgement Terry Moore on the other hand is creating an outstanding book with Rachel Rising and probably deserves it more. No thats a finished mini-series - "Nazi Zombies". The Last Zombie is by Brian Keene and is unrelated. It's on its 5th arc know and will finish up at the end of it. So,no,I don't have anything to do with it - but thanks for thinking otherwise, and trying to score a smartarse point instead of supporting the comic. no need to be touchy, I meant no offence. Its all good mate
  15. yes and no. Remember that collectibles dont have intrinsic value (like say a precious metal coin). Creating them is essentially the same as printing money. Creators/Companies have always had wink wink nudge nudge copies, but if a large percentage of a limited run starts going comp... That's getting a bit into moral hazard territory. Also a good lurch towards bubble bursting territory. Definitely something worth keeping an eye on anyway. I've been doing that for a bit CBT - one reason I avoided this book. I have already made a mental note to avoid certain creators who make this a habit. This NWM situation IS the '90s, hence my cautionary advice. They will all be around next year at 10% of their current price. Thats a scary though, and also why after selling,I put my money into any HG genuine SA/BA/GA first appearence I can afford. I'm somewhat reassured that quite a few other people are seeing the warning signs. Nice one CBT
  16. Alright someone preaching sanity. I know, and it's me, right? Who would have thought.
  17. Nail on Head Posted this twice on here. Creators are getting wise, causing a secondary surge and selling themselves. No issue with that - just buyer beware!
  18. I'm not dissing anyone R - just urging less 'solvent' boardies not to put their mortgage money on these. Im sure you would agree with that?
  19. Yep, looks like we found another H8R. If you don't like what we do, the coin society is taking applications. Or are you someone that just like to poke a finger in someone's eye to merit a response? Bad form. I was not aiming anything I said at anyone in paticular. I asked several questions in my OP and am looking for the reasons behind why these books are being looked at in the way they are. These " Special variants" that come out months and months later are starting to happen more and more, and its really something that I don't understand. How a book with a different color scheme, that was not part of the original printings, is worth more than the original. Asides from the lower print run, I do not understand. And as I said, many later printings have lower print runs, and do not follow this pricing logic. If you like it, buy it, thats fine. Im just wanted to understand the thought process. I gotta agree with Silverdream. This is the strangest frenzy i've seen in 12 months. Butthurt was occuring before the price rises, now theres the very real risk of losing a LOT of money. Seriously, some of you need to count to 10 and take a deep breath. I'm all for speculation but laying out $100 a pop for a different coloured cover is just daft. I'm starting to really dislike Image at the moment - which is so sad as their book content is great - but their selling strategies - 1 step up from Larry tbh. Just coz ES posts here, doesn't mean its law. He IS a creator after all. Or did this board collectively miss his name on MANY front covers. Last one holding the baby gets financially butt-raped on this book.
  20. Pick up a 3rd print #1 Its worth the $2-3 risk for a very good read (thumbs u I'm beginning to see a trend here......
  21. Issue #1s & TB variants has paid for a 1960 Justice League of America #1 CGC 1.8 Green Lantern vol .1 issue #38 CGC 9.0, Indian meal for 5 + beers, 6 months road tax for my car & Battlestar Galactica blue ray box set...... So there And not buying it got me 3 chicken kebabs and a 6 pack of cider - so pffft. (thumbs u
