PM sent. -
Well - They have 3 episodes to get back on track. 2 episodes to farewell a 'guest-star' without moving the story on is poor. It's about the rebirth of the Federation - lets not get side-tracked off that storyline. The season was excellent, but the last 3 have been below the new high-bar they set. Still time.... 5 / 10

I don't normally buy graded books in the wild but today I made an exception. America Chavez Miles Morales Good old Deadpool 50 50% under GPA. A good day out. -
On Season 3 Draper does get better. Significant changes with the Ngyuen mutiny, and '1st MCRN / UN' war. Millers back - they are just off to the sphere. Corners and doors Holden, Corners and doors. I think tbh Holden is the weakest link - a better actor would have done him justice (from the books). Naomi, Amos and Alex are perfect. However - the Star for me is Drummer - how flippin' good is she! Loved the 'Belter Stomp' on the Behemoth - got the adrenaline pumping......and, I'm pretty sure they were implying a relationship between her and Naomi when Naomi went back to the Roci. That was NOT in the book! Quality show - more coffee needed! It reaches out, it reaches out........

FWIW, I have always found you to be an excellent poster, so see no reason for you to be any different as a moderator. -
Ultimate Fallout #4: Where Are The Newsstands?
Beige replied to chasehasadog82's topic in Modern Age Comic Books
I haven't had much interest in moderns for a while, but I have my own thoughts on the following: NM #98 CGC graded 9.8 WP - $1200 AUD UF #4 CGC 9.8 WP - $1200 AUD Probably get both for $2000 AUD ($1510 USD) - if so I will buy them. Your thoughts chaps? He also has: Canto #1 SDCC 9.8Avenging Spiderman 9 9.8Vengeance 1 9.8 Any thoughts on wether these are worthwhile? Maybe Vengeance #1 - Miss America? Thanks! -
Good stuff. Reminded me of Voyagers Nazi Crew led by Sturnbanfuhrer Janeway - The anti-Voyager crew.(Star Trek Voyager ?season 6) Both great role reversal arcs. You can tell the actors enjoyed playing their 'bad' selves! Much better - but Georgiou might come unstuck here. Nice hat tip to The Guardian as well! However, getting a bit 'familiar' to previous Star Trek shows. 6.5 / 10

Thanks - I convert to USD everytime, using the days exchange rate. Merry Xmas Jimmers. -
I believe 'Uber' by Avatar already has. Great read - but every issue had a variant or 4 - plus 'special issue' one-shot variants. Destroyed the book as buyers were confronted with 4 - 8 different covers every month, all with the same story inside. If they has just has one cover per issue, it would have done very, very well.

FX/Hulu's ALIEN show by showrunner Noah Hawley (TBD)
Beige replied to Bosco685's topic in The Movie Forum
I enjoyed Legion, but it was hard to follow at times unless you paid full attention. Alien was a simple hunt-and-kill movie. I hope it's kept straightforward. Aliens #1 + 2 were masterpieces - I dislike movies of such brilliance being ret-conned. It would be like Joss Whedon re-imagining 'The Shawshank Redemption' -

I saw in the thread on the book, that the interest in this book was generated by a youtube group? I haven't seen it personally, so I guess ask the guy who posted that info @Ryan. Is the info incorrect - I'll happily amend the post if so? Posted December 5 Is this the same book that blew up YouTube over the summer when it originally sold for $2000? If so, that buyer is looking awfully prescient. -
So hypothetical discussion - doesn't matter if you own the book, love the book, hate the book - just please, no personal snark. If (when) comic prices 'settle' after this latest burst which 3 are you happy to hold and which 3 are you going to throw overboard asap whilst you can? We can all take it as a given that things like the top 20 SA keys are blue-chip - so lets go down a tier or two For the sake of consistency - assume all are blue label 9.8's HOLD Walking Dead #1 (+ #2 as well) - Book has had it's dip, and has rebounded solidly, can't see this ever being a sub $1800 book ever again. Low print run, show not been on 'free to air' yet. Tomb Of Dracula #10 - Had it's movie spec hike and is down (not that I say 'down' lightly) to the $10K mark. Solid film trilogy, one of the earliest Black 'super-heroes', plenty of reboot growth. Still the best opening of ANY Comic based film! Only 45 9.8's on census New Mutants #98 - Common as muck, but every kid knows Deadpool. At around $1000 for a 9.8 , and with (IMHO) massive growth potential, then despite the large print run, it's a slow and solid climber - even with 3300 9.8's out there. Honorable Mention - Batman #49 - 1st Vicki Vale, Mad Hatter, and Joker Cover from 1948 - and you can still get a 6.0 / 6.5 for around $3000? That's a hold! ABANDON SHIP ASM #101 - Jeez, the sizzle on this one. It's an obscure character, in a medium filled with Vampires - at $9,000 I'm not seeing any way but down when the movie hits the screen. May mitigate any fall with only 33 9.8's on census, but $9000+ for Morbius? Not for me. X-Men #101 - $3500 - $4000 for Dark Phoenix is way over. They have had enough goes with Jean Grey - she doesn't translate to the big-screen, and is a bit bland. Stinker of a movie didn't help. 139 x 9.8 but there are plenty out there....Speaking of which ASM #300 - We all love Venom - I don't love it enough to pay $4500 for a book with 1059 x 9.8 already of a book so, so common (23,600 slabbed with CGC alone) Honorable Mention - Marvel Previews #95 - WTAF? $10,000 and rising, all on the back of social media pressure. Have fun gang, hopefully this could be educational as well as entertaining!
