  1. Yesterday $15 liberated this pile of drek from a 14 yr old and an irate Dad who apparently had warned him to clean his room up. A LOT of Drek, but the odd nice book. Some Spidey/Venom, Spidey/Doc Ock, Spidey/Wolvie tuns, some Team-Ups, one key (Cloak and Dagger), the ASM #36 Black, and Wolvie #4 (alas #1-#3 were not to be seen - maybe he'd cleaned them up?) Plus a heap of Mad mags - I thought people might hold on to them as the mag had finished, but seems like they are being dumped. I assume these mags were the ones included with model figures? If not, what are they from? Thanks!
  2. Read # 1 - 4 so far - really good! Not a spec book, just a good read. 6 parter, issue #5 just out. Recommended 8/10
  3. https://wegotthiscovered.com/movies/captain-britain-mcu-debut-excalibur-movie/ Seems Dane Whitman involved as well - is this one of the 3 Kit Harrington films mentioned or something new? @Bosco685
  4. https://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/walking-dead-season-10-sinks-alltime/?utm_source=vuukle&utm_medium=talk_of_town Lowest Viewing figures of all time. Kirkman Hurd, Gimple,Negrete et al need to walk away and let others take over. Darabont produced 'The Shawshank Redemption' FFS - now this rubbish. So what do these geniuses come up with next? The 3rd show is about a bunch of kids FFS. Kill off Enid, Carl, Nick etc and then do a show about kids who grew up in the apocalypse - just like Carl,Enid and Nick did! You know, the characters we actually cared about (yes, even Nick eventually) Great Idea - not. I'm beginning to doubt the 3 Rick movies will get made - and if they do, putting them in the cinema is madness. The show isn't free-to-air so nobody who hasn't got cable will have a clue what's going on. Hell, regular viewers don't have a clue either.... https://comicbook.com/thewalkingdead/2019/10/14/the-walking-dead-movies-rick-grimes-release-date/ In fact the 3 movies are now 1 movie with ' a chance' others will be made. If you want to save the franchise now the comic's dead - start showing season by season on free-to-air starting obviously with #1. Non-paying viewers are 10yrs behind, and may pay to catch up if AMC release the other series on-demand via fox etc. If not, then you will still have new viewers. Fear - rubbish to start with, brief decent bits, this season started well, now it's the same waffley (Good/bad/humanity/help others/find my wife/save the kids/bad people are good/Victor won't screw us over again/save skidmark/we REALLY are good) talk to the crappy ending... We found some horses - there must be water!! (yeah - about 500m away, it's that thing that looks like a small river) Dying of cancer - NO! she's pregnant!. We can't clear the fake cowboy town! Call for help! Then clear the town by luring them into the river (that they couldn't see for 2 episodes) and just surrender after the zombies are all gone! - Even the actors were visibly dying inside during the 'herd-the-zombie' scene. Then just get into cars and leave Morgan behind alone with 'the evil woman with the biggest flared nose in history' - who shoots Morgan - the same Morgan who can basically defeat a whole army on his day....because 6 guys who were about 75 yrs old told them to. Can't find food, but can make a wedding dress. Have a SWAT vehicle but just hand it over for 'goodwill' I mean, it's garbage. Utter garbage. The Original Show - often brilliant from S#1 to S#7 ep #1 (with the odd lapse - yes, the series set in that hospital - I'm talking to you!) - then it's been all human v human - All Out War was a joke, The Whisperers not much better (I mean seriously let the bloody kid get bitten or send her back). Totally piked it with the heads on stakes (couldn't name more than 2 of them), compared to the comic. The Kingdom 'falls' because the heating failed and a few houses caught fire..... Roping themselves together to walk 10yrs to another house in a 'blizzard'??? McGuffins of the highest order, and of appallingly low standard. It's time for a change. The last 4 yrs have been human v human. Lets have it about the Zombies, even individual stories or 2-3 ep stories about different groups/locations/ideas. I think the people involved have completely run out of ideas - they are stuck in a loop. Cancel both series. Finish the Rick story on cable, not in the cinema. Don't do the kids show. Have a break for 12 months, get new writers and go again. New stories, new characters, less waffle about being 'good' and 'saving our humanity', just some bloody action. Seasons #1 - #4 were some of the best TV ever. Issues #1 - #48 were some of the best comics written. Walk away Robert Kirkman, enjoy your royalties, and let totally new people re-launch the franchise. While you still have one. And yes - I have seen every episode of both shows and read every issue of the comic.
  5. What better reason do you need Thanks very much!
  6. Maybe we got a different trailer but the highlight for me was the Police wearing Rorschach masks - sinister. I assumed Irons is Ozymandias? I'm not mad-keen to see this as I am a huge fan of Watchmen - it's the disappointment that kills ya, you know? Hoping for the best, but have a nagging doubt. The trailers are just too 'weak' at the moment. Did like 'The Owl' crashing though, and as we know, symbolism is everything in Watchmen. Oh well, starts Monday so
  7. Reduced to $90 Which seems very cheap really
  8. Lovely pics. However your customer service department might need a replacement employee. Still waiting for scans of a book requested over a week ago....... I know you are busy, and it's only a $500 book but if you say to a potential customer you are going to do something, you probably should.
  9. Yup - 9.6 for me too Thanks guys!
  10. The item cost $13.60. Which last time I looked was under $1000. Under $1000 was not due to start until November. Get the issue now?
  11. Apologies for crappy scanner - mark by 'direct sales' on front is a scanner thingy. The back cover is showing creases as colour breaking - top one is just a crease, second one is a cbc about 2mm, 3rd tiny one is a crease. I know, I need a new scanner.... Over to you guys - thanks
  12. So bought an item from Germany - seems the lying wankers are already collecting it. It's only $1.36 - but out financial year for tax ends June 30th 2020. The money was paid direct to ebay - I'd imagine it will be sitting in an interest bearing account until then? Nice little earner if you can get it. So much for waiting until November....... All this will do is kill international sales and speed up the demise of ebay. It's like they have a death wish. What other platforms do people use to sell - except Facebook, as I don't do social media, especially twatter.
  13. Sandman Mystery Theatre #1 1993 Signed and Sketched by Guy Davis on 15th May 2010 Reduced to $110 for quick sale. Really nice sketch. Postage as above in post #1

  18. Wonderful collection! But everyone needs a bit of Scooter in their lives! This will be right up there with Woodgod and Rocket racer one day. Wait until Justin Beiber makes the movie and this will be a must have! Seriously though, you might want to go a little earlier and look at some Batman GA books - Bats #49, #121, Tec #38 , #58, #66 #140 etc as you have a wonderful collection! For Silver - Hawkman #4 has been slowly but steadily rising - seems to be levelling off again currently. I have no idea what caused the latest mini-jump. Feel free to show some group shots!
  19. Seems a weak 5.0 imho. Couple of long CBC's Bad chipping, fuggly stamp and poorly centred. Way higher grade than I have, so don't get me wrong I'd love to have it - but price seems in line with a 4.0 - which it presents (again in my humble opinion) exactly like. Buyer paid spot on the 4.0 price, so I feel that's what has happened. This book is cyclical - it's a mega key and always will be. Lot of upward pressure from some decent movies has been replaced by a poor (again IMHO) animated film and ongoing uncertainty about who and when the movie franchise will move forward again. The world economy is weakening, and threats of massive political instability in the USA and UK make this a 'think about buying' book for people without huge disposable incomes. It's a good time to buy as it's quite weak, despite the 2 recent strong outliers (7.5 @ $150,000 and a 6.0 @ $58,000), the overall trend on all lower grades is downward. HOWEVER - it's an AF #15 - one of the top 5 - 6 books ever and the circle will eventually turn again when things in the world settle and a good new film is made. In 10 yrs I'd imagine we all wished we had paid this price. As always!
  20. My old pair. Really regret selling them, and a shame Jimbo had to let them go. They were indeed lovely books (just saw this post - I know it's old!)
