  1. Here's another early Church sci-fi cover that sort of rhymes with the Superworld #3. Not as cool (tough to beat Paul), but I'm a big fan of the primitive artwork. Screams "early Golden Age" to me.
  2. Yeah, I figured as much, which is one reason why I highlighted that fact that it's missing (or never was), to see if anyone had heard of its existence. Too bad, because the black cover of that #2 would probably be an unbelievably awesome Church copy.
  3. Nah, you wouldn't want that. I think you've got a comic buying budget that dwarfs my own. Plus, I'm pasty enough to get sunburned under a full moon, which would kill a Florida boy like yourself. The only real upside for you would be an improvement in hairstyle, but you could pretty much be anyone to get that.
  4. Love the Church Pep 50. Here's the buddy to the Superworld #1. As far as anyone knows, there was no Church copy of Superworld #2 (it wasn't in the original catalog and no one I've asked has ever seen it).
  5. Now that right there's a funny post. Well done. Uthe got me too, many years ago. I hate that guy.
  6. Dude. Those freaking rule. And many of them are impossibly tough, as I'm sure you well know. Great job!!!
  7. i like it alot too, but being a timely guy i'd have to get chicago in there, and i really like pennsylvania's as well. Chicagos. Win, I'll make you change your tune in a couple weeks. Ok, I'm open-minded. I haven't had much (if any) exposure to that pedigree, so I'm prepared to be wowed. Just don't show me any with an over-busy jumbled too-red Schomberg cover. (thumbs u
  8. Very nice! You should crack those slabbed books, though, to get the full effect. Impressive!
  9. I love the Cosmic Aeroplane pedigree. After the big 3 of Church, Larson, and Reilly, it's my favorite.
  10. Ewww. So those city-slickers are looking for a guy-guy-guy-girl 4-way? That's a real bro-deo.
  11. soon Ok Ryan, here you go. Church copy of Superworld #1:
  12. That's a freaky Doc Savage book, nice! Doc's not a very good shot, though.
  13. Next time I get around to posting scans, Ryan, I've got a book that will knock your socks off. It's right up your alley. Lord knows when that'll be, though....
  14. This last book for today isn't any tougher to find than any of the other Stars from this time frame. That plus the cartoon-y cover makes this a relatively less interesting Church copy, but still....
  15. Here's the Larson copy of the 2nd toughest KDF (the following issue, v1#10, is virtually impossible to find, while this one is simply arduous):
  16. Wow. Major key + pedigree = impressive. I'll take it down about 12 notches by posting this wacky Church cover. Sort of buffoonish, but the 1st splash page is phenomenal. Unfortunately, I don't have a photo of it, so just pull out your own copy and take a look.
  17. And my 2nd-to-last Funny Pages (double slash Church); still need a v2#2 to close out the run:
  18. Here's a Star Ranger (Church) that was one of the last I needed for the run (still missing a #9 to close it out).
  19. I forget whether I've posted this book before, but as I've added about a dozen Church or Larson books to my collection over the past 6 months, I figured it was time to resurrect this thread and start posting. I'm not a big-time Fox collector (there's a lot of competition in those waters), but I couldn't pass up this cover (Church copy) and of course I'm drawn to scarcity (none in the census):
  20. Great Hera!! Those are amazing, Sharon! What an accomplishment!
  21. One more from the 90's. This one is probably my all-time favorite. The colors are unbelievable. The book practically glows in hand.
  22. Here's a very yellow one. The background colors on these 1950's books are consistently very rich. How late can I go with posting scans in this forum? Late '50's ok, or does that offend our Golden Age sensibilities?
  23. Can't compete with Rick's group shots, but I'll post a few more of mine while I'm on-line. This one has a double cover (you can see it along the bottom edge):
