  1. I like how all the arrows were aimed to converge right where her wrists could block them.
  2. They're technically Silver Age, but I'll show some the ones I have in the 80's and 90's since we're talking about them.
  3. Yeah, the print runs on Wonder Woman were notoriously low through this time period, as DC had to keep the title active to maintain the copyright on the character, but sales didn't really justify it. Here's another:
  4. You wouldn't know it from the rest of my collection, but I'm a sucker for mid/late 1950's DC.
  5. You tell a great story, nearmint! Have you ever considered a career in screen-writing?
  6. Here's the Church copy of a seldom seen issue:
  7. Beautiful book, nice rich primary colors! I always like a good train cover.
  8. I saw that one in person at the forum dinner, and Mike kindly let me flip through it. It's absolutely gorgeous!
  9. Thanks guys. Here are some of my other early Church KDF's. It's funny that the earliest ones are virtually perfect, while many of the later ones have some significant flaws. I've got 8 Church KDF's out of the first 12 issues, and I'd love to dig up the other four.
  10. No, they auctioned off a 1/9, which is definitely a tough book in its own right, but not impossible like 1/10. I'll post the Church copies again, not to overexpose them (which I hate doing), but just because they are virtually perfect. The Church v1#10 might be the most perfect Church book I have, and I've got a number of nice Church books. It's almost impossible to find a flaw on it, and it's tighter and more brilliant than something you could buy on a newsstand today. Big thanks to Stephen F. for tracking it down for me.
  11. It's a fun series to collect. It's generally doable (except for the 2 issues I list above as borderline impossible), but it will take a while and money isn't really going to help you. The covers are all serious, nothing goofy or cartoonish. It's a bit easier than Amazing Mystery Funnies (probably THE classic long-run Centaur series for quality covers) and Funny Pages (a very difficult long-run Centaur series to complete, but it had an unfortunate run of silly covers in the middle which don't excite people, so a lot of folks just focus on the 8 Arrow and 3 Mad Ming covers).
  12. The toughest issues of KDF are, in approximate order: v1#10 (the toughest) v1#9 (brutal as well) -gap- v2#1 v1#11 v1#8 #22 v2#4 v2#7 #21 -gap- v2#8 v2#2 v2#6 #20 #19 #18 #23 There are 6 others that are tricky to varying degrees, depending on your luck at the time -gap- #24 v2#9 (these are the only two that I would consider easy)
  13. Here's mine, but it's an oversized book so I'm afraid the scanner cut off the edges.
  14. It's really hard to tick Rick or I off, unless you're bluechip. I think Rick's has better eye appeal overall, except for the hole punch, which may be too significant to overlook. Tough call.
  15. Here's mine, if that helps: Great run, Rick. That #1 is downright impossible to find, and #2 is quite tricky.
  16. You're thinking of Captain Morgan. He's a fun guy. Captain Jack brings the heroin, I believe.
  17. Recent pick-up, upgrading a very ratty copy I showed a while back. Scan back through the thread to find out what "AOC" stands for, or just post a guess.
  18. Me too. My project for this weekend is to trim all the front covers of my Church books so I can get that effect consistently.
  19. That book is tough as hell. Circus #1 is not too difficult to find, but #2 and #3 are very challenging. Great job!!!
  20. Here's a trio of Church Headline Comics. I've shown one before, but not the other two, which I got recently.
  21. I see Rick got himself some new smiley's that he's trying out. Very cool, and probably well worth the viruses he downloaded along with them.
  22. Wow, that's a beautiful book! The colors are amazing.
