  1. Yep, which is always why it should be caveat emptor!
  2. This is not a problem. This is short-sightedness and frankly, the sense of entitlement on the buyer's side. The only case in which this may be appropriate is when the seller does it on a brand-spanking new book right off the presses. If this is what you are referring to, my apologies. A smart seller should be rewarded for his (or her) efforts.
  3. Slogging through the long boxes . . . I'll get some more up this weekend.
  4. My personal take on what can be dropped from the list: This year's top 25: 1. Star Wars 1 35 cent variant 2. Incredible Hulk 181 3. Iron Fist 14 35 cent variant 4. House of Secrets 92 5. Cerebus 1 6. Green Lantern 76 7. Scooby Doo 1 (gold key) 8. Marvel Spotlight 5 9. Giant Size X-Men 1 10. Amazing Spider-Man 129 11. Star Wars 2 35 cent variant 11. Star Wars 3 35 cent variant 11. Star Wars 4 35 cent variant 14. Iron Man 55 15. X-Men 94 16. DC 100 Page Super Spectacular 5 16. Hero for Hire 1 18. Batman 227 18. Batman 251 20. Uncle Scrooge 179 21. Amazing Spider-Man 101 21. Tomb of Dracula 10 23. All-Star Western 10 23. Batman 232 23. Detective Comics 411 I think the entire list should be redrawn. So many of these are no longer relevant.
  5. What I have is immensely better than what you have . . .
  6. Thanks for the info . . . I'll have to check this copy!
  7. Agree, NOT trimmed. No one could trim a book to look like that.
  8. I don't have one in front of me, but I believe that's the way it's supposed to be.
  9. That said, I love it when I come across a "Jack Kirby" or a "Stan Lee" signature in a collection where there's been absolutely zero hype (or even mention) in the resale - almost guaranteed authentic. And more often than not on the splash page instead of the FC (very old school)
