  1. Oh, let me remind you, we have yet to see a single book (ever) listed by GAMP . . . what are you afraid of my "friend"?
  2. Actually, both. But in this case overhang can be a bear. Or was that hangover?
  3. Birds of a feather, flock together. (But perhaps you do have a point there . . . ) It only takes one bidder to buy a book, and seriously he was quite happy with his purchase.
  4. It's a 9.4 copy as sure as the day is long. The "lines" are printing marks and there is no staining, some light discoloration yes, but certainly not staining. You can't read large scans that aren't manipulated and your opinions are sophomoric at best. That said . . . bite me.

  11. Has the list changed at all? Or are we pretty much there?
  12. IIRC I was still buying two of everything through about XM105 or thereabouts, and quit DD even before 158 . . . does that match-up? Like SF Duck said, no internet, no real hype.
  13. I would say no, as they are apples and oranges. The micro-chamber paper is used to primarily to mitigate the acid exchange between cover stock and newsprint. I don't believe it's applicable to foxing whatsoever.
  14. Indeed! And of course those of us familiar with SA and GA books saw quite a bit more of it.
  15. Btw, just because RMA writes 5 paragraphs at a time, do not take his rhetoric as definitive.
  16. Uh, I was under the impression that all of the Marvel Age covers were original work . . . am I wrong?
  17. I also noticed that Swamp Thing appearances in other titles (all ages) seem to be getting more attention. Can someone do the legwork???
  18. I remember (toot toot) they had a swimming pool. (FZ)
  19. That is a classic memory! I saw George Reeves make a cameo appearance in From Here to Eternity the other night, so I was doubly thinking about him. Great movie, great cast. When I was a freshman in the dorm at UCONN in 1973-74, we always put down whatever we were doing at 4:30 in the afternoon to head up to Gibbons & Mac's room on the 3rd floor to smoke the smoke and watch the Superman reruns, followed by the Three Stooges and Max Fleischer's Popeye. If I stayed in the dorm, I would have NEVER graduated.
