  1. I inquired about getting a Walking Dead exclsuive cover last month. I spoke with a guy at Image and he said Kirkman would like to have you order 2,000 copies of the exclusive, but that 1,000 was possible. There were some that were 500 copies but those were special exceptions. Also he said Kirkman is super slammed and it sounded as though granting exclusive covers is hardly anything he's concerned with. I was supposed to hear back from the guy 2 weeks ago and I haven't yet. So I got the impression it's not going to be very easy to get approved to do one unless maybe you had an inside with someone close to Kirkman.
  2. Can somebody post a link to this convention? thanks!

It was cool to hear the stories of what he had & sold & passed up! Here's a couple pages.... Marvel Premier #50 Alice Cooper page 1... Amazing Spider-Man #233 page 1.... 2 pages from Iron Man #51,52... Also arrived today.. this image was used as the 2nd print cover to Wolverine #71. It's an interior splash from a 2 page spread in the same issue.
  9. the 10 goes first! And she's working the Ebay corner as we speak!!
  10. nope. I don't know if it's on the inside or what. I asked about it one time.I submitted 12-13 or so copies of Uncanny X-Men #167...One came back a 10.0 and all the others were 9.8's...I wanted to know the difference, and they just told me that there must've been something to keep it back from going higher, and that they don't keep graders notes on books that high grade. I don't know if that was just for moderns or everything. That was also about 2 years ago when that situation was. So I just take what I can get!
  11. Just got these in yesterday...all the bases covered!
  12. This is the first double cover book I have come across in 15 years since I opened my shop. Back in the mid-70's to early '80's,when I was collecting as a kid,I came across 2 copies. I have seen them on Ebay pretty often though.
  13. This one was a total surprise...I was going through a recent collection purchase looking for some potential 9.8's..when I came across this one that looked nice and when I opened up the cover...it was twice as nice!
  14. The Eddie Vedder is 14x23 inches, and the Jordan is 13x21 inches.
  15. Thanks you guys! I do appreciate it! I had 2 pieces published in sports magazines back in the day,but I was burning the candle at both ends and got burned out and had to stick with what was paying the bills! Hopefully one day, life will slow back down for me and the fire inside will get going again. Here's another one..
  16. I was into art when I was a single man.Since I got married, kids and work, take all the time. Here's one of the last pieces I did, from 1995. Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam.All pencil with airbrushed background...
  17. I also picked this up in Charlotte on Friday...this is a stat of the 2 page spread from Fantastic Four #148.There is some original art on the outside edges, but it is 99% stat. The way it is labeled on top,on authentic Marvel board, and the date stamp on the back of both pages,It looks like it is the actual piece that was used in the production of the book.Anybody got a rough idea of what this might be worth. I got it cheap from a guy that had alot fo original art,but I think I got REAL cheap...$30. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Joey
  18. I Picked this up from David Finch at Charlotte Heroes Con in North Carolina yesterday. This is a character study for "Mr. Smiley", the mascot of rock band Disturbed. Finch did the cover art to the CD that they just released a week or 2 ago...this detail Finch puts out is incredible!
  19. This show has been surprising the last few times I've been. I usually go to hit the cheap boxes. 2 shows ago I picked up a McFarlane Hulk piece and then this one this time. Both from guys that usually never have any art.
