ugh....was looking forward to picking a few of these up tomorrow. Could you please describe the damage? the Spine tiks are ridiculous...mostly not color breaking, but hold it in the light and you see 4-6 if not more...then a lot of those have the upper staple crease issue the Harleys had. We opened 250 copies today over half damaged...the ones we kept...8.5's to 9.4's....9.6 are tough...9.8 good luck....we're opening 300-400 more tomorrow. ...basic covers to both of these books were great condition...these bagged variants, horrible. -

We opened 450 more copies today (total of 600)...same problems throughout these 3 sealed cases...upper left corner by the staple...must be they way the book gets put into the polybag I imagine...good luck finding nice gradeable copies. And no original sketch in my 600 copies. Good luck out there!! -

1 Per store Variant, less than 400 actually made it out. The shop I went two had 2 copies, so not sure how accurate this is. You could order how ever many you wanted, they allocated. Was not a one per store. Diamond decided who got more then 1 and even who got 0. I have 1 store...We ordered these blind...they didn't tell us certain books would be limited...we ordered 50 of the Wolverine and got 2 copies. -

I'm interested in listening to the interviews but I don't see them on this site...could you point me in the right direction. thanks! Joey The podcast player seems to be a Flash plug-in, so maybe you need to update? I have the mp3s if you need 'em drop me a PM. I appreciate the offer to send'em to me! I was able to hear some things on that first link, just couldn't find the Maybruks, but Lou_Fine just got me some good links. Thanks again for the offer!! Joey Finally got through listening to the 4 interviews. Maybruk is an odd one. Maybe it's just the post drug days. Anybody know if he's still alive. He sounded in pretty bad condition at the time of the interviews. Did a lot of rambling. But it was worth listening to as I love stories of guys finding collections and hoards. Anybody out there ever buy one of the Sparkle City Memorabilia kits that Metropolis is still selling on Ebay? Sounds interesting but $65 for it,I'm not sure I want to take the chance and it be a waste of $65. Thanks again Lou_Fine for the links!

You should probably try the one below which came from the Sparkle City thread in the GA Forum where all of the good stuff is (let's hope it works): http://www.comiccollecting.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=362 The first 2 interviews, although longer, are better than the last 2 interviews from a collector's point of view. You must admit the man was able to research and hunt down the collections and distribution warehouses. Especially at a time, when real investigative work and pounding the pavement was needed since surfing the internet was still a couple decades away. (thumbs u Enjoy! Awesome, those links work! gonna check it out in the morning! ,I appreciate it!

Boy, I'd be pretty upset if that's what I got back!!! Did they lose the rest? Did they give you a tracking number! I sure hope you find the rest of them! your the reason why this book isn't worth anything. Haha picture made me laugh, at one point I had about 30 copies thinking "this has to be worth a lot in 5-6 years" after it first came out. I'm the reason why this book isn't worth anything???...You're the one that bought 30 copies of the rack....I got these out of the dollar box... .Guys like YOU that think Spawn is worthless....YOU'RE the reason I keep buying these books @ $1-$2 everytime I see them. and the barcode versions...good luck finding raw copies in high grade. Of the 45-50 copies I bought...15 copies went in on 9.8 prescreen...got back 11...this picture here....This ain't bad for a $210 investment. (that includes grading fees).

That's the best part about it...

Barry Windsor Smith/Bob Layton page from the Valiant Comics Alpha/Omega storyline that ran through the first 10 issues of Solar back when Valiant first started. Picked this up in New Orleans this past weekend from Bob Layton. Said he just found it going through a stack of older stuff. Awesome guy to talk with!

I went down to Wizard World New Orleans this past weekend to get signatures on the 2 drawings of Stan Lee and Norman Reedus. We had a great time! Stan Lee was too funny! We had to do 2 different shoots when we did his photo op...he said my drawing messed the picture up the first time...then when I went to get him to sign it...he looked at it and said.."I never knew I was so handsome"...then I went over to Norman Reedus and this guy appreciates his fans so much! He was taking time to talk to everybody that was getting his signature. When he saw my picture he really liked it and asked if I minded if he put it up on his Twitter account...(like I minded!)...the guy was awesome! Later that night he posted it on his Facebook page and it's got almost 70,000 likes and over 1,000 comments...mostly good, and some bad...I appreciate the compliments and critiques. I have just picked up the pencil again after not doing anything for the last 18 years...I'm getting the itch again and hopefully will have some more cool stuff to show you guys soon! Here's some pics...and thanks for looking!!
