  1. I scored this today at a show in Richmond,Virginia...a sweet Jack Kirby/Bill Everett,Thor page from issue #173. 6 panels with Thor is 5 of 'em,and some great dialogue showing Thor at his noble best!!
  2. Yeah man, stop by if you get the chance! Give me heads up before you do so I'll be there! I think i'm at 9 books in 10.0...and maybe 5-6 in 9.9's. I got 4 boxes from CGC today and I had alot of Ebay packing to do so they just sat there for about 3-4 hours..I couldn't wait to get into them!! I do alot of 9.8 prescreening and it's always good to see a different number sticking out when I scan the tops of those books!! I still have 2 more boxes on the way,and I can't wait!
  3. I sent in a few invoices of 9.8 prescreens 0n 2/17. I got back some 2 weeks ago, some last week and still waiting for the rest. I sent in about 200 on a prescreen 2 weeks ago,but as we get closer to the con season, the turnaround times will be getting longer.
  4. this is the nicest one I 've ever had. Picked up a run of #1-14 about a month ago and this was the best looking one in the bunch!
  5. The cvoer the FF #166. I remember seeing it someones CAF,or whatever it was called before CAF,a few years ago. That was the first book I ever bought, and I'd have to say that would be my GRAIL piece!
  6. Hopefully one day I will be dealing with books that bring in $200K.I get nervous when buying older nice books that are worth $500-$1000. Sounds like this guy Dave is pretty legit and seems to be knowledgeable in dealing in high $$$ books for some time now. But still, some books have gotten by him with restoration. What can a dealer buy to help him with identifying restoration on books? What are the easy things to look for and what should I have on hand to help check to see if there's restoration? I have a black light and have heard that's helpful, but I'm sure there's got to be ways around it. Thanks! Joey
  7. I have a couple misprints that I have sent in to get graded just for the heck of it....here's one... I bought it off a guy that got it right from a shop back in the day. If you have any miscut books and want to sell, let me know thanks! Joey
  8. Hello! Who's the famous guy that owns most of the art? Of the hundreds of covers that Jean & Thomas did,now I know the reason why it is never seen on the market! Do you know the history of how the Frisano art was sold? I heard that when LUG returned alot of the art back to Jean in the mid-80's,they advertised the art in France and it was mostly sold like that. I would love to see a book on the art of these guys! Unfortunately, here in America,we missed out on seeing any of their art on our covers back then.I wish I could get images of all the covers they ever did,I'd make a website dedicated to those 2!! Classic stuff!!
  9. Just got in a commission piece yesterday from Thomas Frisano.... http://perso.wanadoo.fr/thomas.frisano2/Tableauxangl.htm
