Updated with some more data: I am 95% confident that the true proportion of black label Walking Dead #1s fall between 13.15% and 22.77% of the print run. When multiplied by the population (7266), that gives a range of 956 to 1654.

This thread tends to be a catch all for all Walking Dead stuff (except for the show, since that has its own thread) - toys, OA, comics, etc.

Did you see the ones on ebay? Some individual_without_enough_empathy has them priced from $5,000 to $10,000! The nut job has auto decline set really high.........my offers of $600.00 were kicked back +100 He might as well relist them in the automobile section!

Awax makes a good point, Erndog did clearly state that he still likes it, just wishes there were less similarities btw the two antagonists. I will agree that the two are similar on the surface, in very broad strokes, but I feel they are different beyond that.

At the moment, there are only three on the registry (ba, dodson, spawn). The virgin is cover is on the census but not on the registry (but I requested to have it added).

They may not be separating the two virgin variants. Since there is no Spawn virgin they may just consider the Dodson one as the same book as the Dodson with the title. The one you are talking about must be the official 'variant' - if that makes sense…the art actually looks different on it. Is there any difference in the Dodson covers other than the missing title? I dont see any difference other than the title

Looking at some of these slabs on eBay, it looks like the Dodson cover and the virgin Dodson cover are both under the same classification, but the Ba cover and virgin Ba cover are different.
