  1. Dang, thanks Juan! That's awesome. Where did that data come from?
  2. Is that what everyone was calling the "surfboard cover"?
  3. That's intersting, because if you look at GPA prices, SS usually are higher than their blue counterparts. I personally prefer blues, but if yellow comes along at a better price, I'll snag it!
  4. Hey all, I am collecting some data to try and suss out the true amount of black and white label Walking Dead #1s - or a close approximation thereof. To do this, I would like a large sample size to analyze, and to avoid duplication I am collecting information on graded issues only. So, if you could, what I need from you is your Certificate ID, the color of your label, and your grade. I don't really need the grade, but extra data to analyze never hurts! You are more than welcome to provide a picture, too - in fact, I think it would be preferred. Thanks so much! Jim Here are some pictures of the difference: UPDATE: 2/04/2014 So you don't have to search thru the thread for the answer, it lies below. I will keep this updated as long as I am allowed, as new data comes in: How rare is black label Walking Dead #1? Here is the information used to determine the answer: Data: white - 201 black - 44 Here is how I came about the answer: The best answer that statistics can provide is a range, with a level of confidence in that range. With the data and means available, I am 95% confident that the true proportion of black label Walking Dead #1s fall between 13.15% and 22.77% of the print run. When multiplied by the population (7266), that gives a range of 956 to 1654.
  5. That helps to illustrate my point about the mycomicshop WD auctions that ended Thursday. A WD 1 cgc 9.4 SS ended for $960, whereas this eBay blue label was 9.4 and ended at $1,300.
  6. Great time of the year to be a buyer in auctions for The Walking Dead. Horrible time of the year to be the seller. I am only doing BIN or Best Offers until the show is back up. It's funny that you say that...I noticed most auctions on eBay are BIN and/or Best Offer.
  7. Did anyone win any of the mycomicshop Walking Dead auctions from Thursday night? I thought the ending prices were relatively low. http://www.mycomicshop.com/auctions?agid=71&q=Walking+dead+&arid=&pl=&mingr=&maxgr=&tpg=&minbid=&maxbid=
  8. Jeez...well, at least they are prepaid cards. If they were credit cards, I would have had to bounce. Remember when Wizard had their own credit card?
  9. Mostly talking about the Heroes Initiative Walking Dead 100 auctions, at least recently.
  10. The grade matters to me, not so much the uniqueness. For me, I could own any one of the 100 or so that will be made available. So what does matter to me is price point and eventual grade. Like ET, I will probably stick to drawings that don't span the spine.
  11. Does CGC grades these leniently? It would be disappointing to go the graded route and have it come back something crazy low like 8.5 or so.
  12. They might be low now, but wait till the REALLY big names come out, like Adlard's and Keown's.
  13. Do these HI typically end higher, or did you expect higher prices because they are WD?
  14. Shah's went for 405...that was the one I was hoping to get. Great cover and a good price..but I didnt win
  15. I was going to say something about it but didnt want to jinx the one I want. I'll leave my hands off of the CP3. Good luck!
  16. I don't think it's that bad. But my least fav of the ones released so far.
