Saved.Whatever, I tried. Obviously it's a terrible idea as it's not even being considered. MikesRack I'm with you, lets get the and watch this thing burn. -
Maybe you could start your own thread?I think the idea of just letting the rules work and no more critical comments would be best. At first I thought that peer pressure would be good since people would be reluctant to use the veto. Now we've seen how it can go horribly wrong. I think it would behoove future participants to be more pro active in changing offers but it's up to them. The Kamandis weren't a terrible offer-I would have snapped it up when I was getting my Kamandi collection together-I ended up paying ave $3 each for them.Yeah but offering something firs before taking something for yourself, come on that's the essence of this thread. Claim then offer is PIF. Giving Tree=give first
No vetoes needed, your offers not take, you must change it or pull it. Fundamentally we would switch from trying to match the value of what we got compared to what we give. You have nothing to compare your offer to, your offering in hoes your offer beats out the others, if it does, you get rewarded for the offer by allowing to claim one.
I'm not sure how this would work-you go to claim something then post your offer and only get your claim if someone takes your offer-but then they cant take their claim unless someone takes their offer-somewhere down the lina an offer doesnt get taken and all the previous offers fall like dominoes....
How do you not get this? Or are being a smarta$$?
You cannot claim an offer unless you already had an offer taken by someone.
The only trick is the start, as someone will get to claim something without offering anything, once the ball is rolling, it's so incredibly simple.
Do you seriously not get it?

Chip bought a yellow Corvette.God forbid he scores a decent collection and can get out of quarter bins for stock. The day he posts a selfie behind the wheel of a corvette is the day I start harping about Kamandi. -

(worship)
It's amazing how some offers go so quickly.
-
So the attitude is not perceived? I'm gonna go with people having more of a problem with chip's attitude than with his actual offer. That copper age thread about books heating up was one. Certain PM's from trustworthy board members. I cant be the only person that see's the attitude. -
Did you put the needle on the record?Let the record show that I tried my best. -
Chip go to sleep

I wonder if people here are finding your attitude about all this to be the most troubling. Perceived or not. Maybe it's just coming across in your postings that way. Heaven knows, it happens to me all the time. People can't see your facial expressions or tone of voice and they get the wrong impression. Could that be happening here, Chip? Maybe it's a combination of your offers and your perceived attitude?
My attitude right now is that I'm pretty angry. I don't feel like I've done something horrid at all. I select stuff for the thread, post it up and get a bunch of flack for it. My first offer was taken quickly. My second offer wasn't and I switched it. People said it was a great offer, and now I'm getting flack for it again. Now they're pulling in everything everyone has done for me in the forum (even though I told the people via PM they did NOT have to do anything for me...that was none of anyone's business but I now I need to point it out) and saying that I haven't given back to the forum at all???
I was giving to the forum long before anything was given to me, so that's insulting and it makes my blood pressure skyrocket.
The collection I just posted about has nothing to do with this thread, what I can give to this thread, or anything in here at all. Everyone assumes I got it all for a song and should just give it all away here.
Looking back, this post of your's probably never should of been made...
Ah well...it's a solid offer. I'm not switching it up.Peace,
Chip

It's really stuff like this that makes me sad.
People do so much for this guy and he doesn't care to give back.
Call me a bully or Mr. Negative, but how can anyone argue this.
Really? I've gotta trot out every donation thread I've contributed to over the past few years?
...and argue WHAT? What exactly are you talking about?

Am I the only one looking forward to an apocalypse?
I guess it depends on the type. I'd love to kill me some zombies. It just looks like so much fun.
It's not that fun in reality
Believe me
Their heads don't crumple like paper mache like on TV....
Hey, did you pay Harvey the $50 annual fee yet?

My interest in this thread is decreasing on a daily basis.
When the apocalypse occurs I know we are all *spoon*ed - if people get this bent out of shape over funny books we are all definitely killing each other over food and water.
I've killed for less. In fact, I'd kill for a McDonald's milk shake right about now.

Chip, you didn't post those pictures on the forum? Oh man, I thought you were changing your offer up. I was ready to take it in a heartbeat if I could. Such desirable stuff you have there.

Drove about 6 hours round trip today to acquire a 2,300+ book collection from Craigslist. It's the farthest I've driven for anything since I moved to Myrtle Beach 8 years ago. . Needless to say, I'm exhausted and my back hurts. It was very very worth it, though. Here are some highlight pics. Sorry they're crappy...it's late and I'm tired.
Thanks for looking.
Peace,
Chip
Wow, that's some nice stuff. How often do you find great scores like this?
-
So that means what?
-
Not my personal stance,
But why don't you PM the last accepted offer and state why they should Vito the current one.
Instead of calling someone out publicly.
-
The RAKs are really moving in this thread. Such generosity.
-
Well if those are Kirby and no one objects
So what are you taking??
Those marvel dbl feature sorry should have made that clear
That was quick!!!
PM me your info.
It's so easy to give stuff away quickly on this forum. It feels good to give the same effort that so many before me have done
-
Ah well...it's a solid offer. I'm not switching it up.
Peace,

The crybaby mentality of some of the people here is pathetic. Chris S. should be along any moment now.
