Doesn't this kind of statement just take away the incentive for the current offerer to ever bother changing his offer up? I don't see how this could be good for the betterment of the thread in the long run. Just a lot of stalled offers while people wait 48 hours to see if they can get away with the bare minumum.

1 more hour until Duckie sees if he gets bailed out and the thread starts moving again. Sigh.

This is a very cool gesture. I think it's a good sign for the thread that people aren't taking items just to take them. I think the free book is very cool but because its not something I collect I want to leave it available for someone who will truly appreciate it. Looks like others are doing the same. Definitely a good sign for the thread that its not devolving.

Yeah I saw that offer and thought it was so generous but even though I've not taken anything yet... I figure there's going to be someone who sees this book and is thrilled... which is what would make the giver the happiest. So I'll wait for the free Amazing Fantasy 15, which I assume will be coming shortly. :-)

I figured making sure to include DATES next to a claim in the second post would make this a little simple to figure out.

 

Example:

 

"07/04: Jiminy_Cricket (HarveySwick)"

 

Cricket would know that he can't claim anything until 08/04.

In the above example, "Does a rolling month mean 08/04 or 08/05?"

Duck, this forum has the most picky collectors in the world. Every modern under a 9.8 is not worthy to many here. If you don't have a scanner, try taking individual pictures where everyone can see the spine/edges. Use at least 6 megapixels and don't get so close that the pictures come out blurry. Angle the camera so that the camera flash doesn't put a glare on the comic. Make sure the comics are not directly under a ceiling light to avoid further glare. I'll put a couple examples in a spoiler for you so people don't get confused. Do the same with the back covers.

No I don't need credits, thanks for the offer. It would be nice having feedback provided not disregarded is all, being one of the more active members in the PIF over the course of the last year+, I think I've got a pretty good idea of what did and did not work. Not being belittled would be cool too but you can't have everything in life.
