  1. It's an awesome read. Make sure you let us know what you think!
  2. IMHO... yes. I have not seen a ton, but the ones I have seen all had a few issues. Ryan, I enjoyed the Mind MGMT love on the BoardieCast! (thumbs u
  3. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chew-1-CGC-9-8-WHITE-Pages-1st-Tony-Chu-Agent-Mason-Layman-Guillory-/370770981136?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item5653ac3110 Did somebody really win this for $10?
  4. people got some steals! interesting that the raws are $15 and slabs are only selling for $40.
  5. Interesting to hear that it held its value since the beginning. I didn't really follow the prices of #2 so it really surprised me today when I saw them selling for $15 (when #1 is $30). After looking at the print runs, it does makes more sense now. I agree it does read much better in trade. I always tell myself I'll save up the monthly floppies so I can read them all at once. Somehow I always give in, read the individual issues, and get confused/forget what happened in the storyline
  6. So I've been noticing that Revival #2 is now a solid $15+ book. After some research I found that the print run of #1 was 18k and #2 was only 10k! Did anybody hoard first prints of #2? Might be a really good one to have! It also seems the print runs have been steadily trending upwards since the big drop off at #2, indicating a natural increase in readers (not just hype). I wonder if prices for #1 and #2 will start to take off in the next couple months, especially when the current issues start to exceed the #1s out there. #1 is starting to crack $100 in 9.8. Thoughts?? 1: 18,039 2: 10,486 3: 13,943 4: 15,251 5: 14,098 6: 17,396 P.S. The story is getting better and better too.
  7. I know one sold on eBay before the movie announcement for like $40!
  8. +1 I know, I've been hyping up this book as much as possible in TSG thread mainly because it's an absolutely fantastic read. But I wanted to share the casting info here because it's a brand new development and pretty big news.
  9. http://www.deadline.com/2013/02/laura-ramsey-lands-the-lead-in-nbc-pilot-the-sixth-gun/ For those not following The Sixth Gun thread. If you wanna speculate, get your copies now before the prices get too crazy.
  10. is that right Looks like this title is starting to heat up: MIND MGMT 0-7 Set in NM for $113 http://www.ebay.com/itm/230931300664?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
  11. Well, the real #1 is definitely heating up: The Sixth Gun #1 FIRST PRINT http://www.ebay.com/itm/The-Sixth-Gun-1-FIRST-PRINT-NEXT-WALKING-DEAD-1-Cullen-Bunn-Bryan-Hurtt-NBC-/190800114228?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item2c6c92b234 Auction ended @ $101.99 The Sixth Gun #1 NM-MT 1st Print http://www.ebay.com/itm/121070088161?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Auction ended @ $97.00 BINs were snatched up at lower prices though.
  12. The bad news is all the early issues are pretty tough to find in NM+ condition
  13. Same here. I mean whats with this variant of comics pro, wtf its like $150 and theres barely any copies of it. LIke WTF I had the full collection before these super rare variants that 90% wont even get. I'm done with this comic. Getting rid of my collection, keeping the signed one but getting rid of the others. Nobody is forcing anybody to get every variant--see the message from E.S. I get the completist mentality--I use to have it--but you and your wallet will be better off if you just pay for what you like and what you can afford. No reason to stop reading/collecting a book you enjoy just because there are a couple variants you might not get.
  14. VF/NM by eBay standards for moderns. Somebody might get burned by that lot.
  15. Page 3 made me chuckle. Well played, Mr. Kindt Anyone who isn't reading this, really needs to give it a shot. This comic book is smart, intriguing, and leaves me wanting more after ever issue.
  16. Now that we know 300 are actually available and none are popping up on eBay besides that 7 day auction--let's have some fun. What's the absolute highest BIN price you think someone could list a NM+ variant RIGHT NOW and have it be sold? I'm thinking $300.
  17. Just saw the post above mine after I posted. Great advice Eric! I don't really follow this thread so I just wanted to say it's really cool that you continue to communicate this much with the fans/collectors!
  18. I couldn't get myself to care about the NWM story (might give it another shot down the line), but it's been pretty fun reading all the posts tonight about the ComicsPro variant. I think these releases make the hobby exciting, but at the same time, it also makes me thankful that I stopped caring about getting every variant a long time ago. Personally, I think it's insane that a different color scheme for a cover is already pushing $160. But I understand the angst and excitement of the chase, so good luck to everyone who wants a copy. Hopefully you can all get one (at a reasonable price). (thumbs u
  19. Had a chance to buy some books from Anthony. They arrived quickly and well-packaged and in the condition I wanted! Thanks buddy!
  20. Bunn's a great writer and he's done some wonderful stuff for Marvel too! Yeah, I am pretty excited to try out more of his stuff. Same with Matt Kindt after reading the first arc of Mind MGMT. Good reads will do that to you!
  21. If any Bunn title deserves more hype it's the sixth gun which has flown under the radar until 29 issues in. Seems like the more publicity a title gets before release the worse it does on the secondary market. Of course there are exceptions, but it seems a ton of Image #1 titles flop after people talk them up before release on these boards.
  22. Too bad they couldn't get the timeline right. Would have been nice if this finale came out around Christmas time.
