  1. It would be cool if you could put that one side by side with the cover of Chew #18!
  2. Yeah, the plot keeps thickening, especially with the newest issue. I really enjoy the layers of complexity in the story though. I think it's going to pay off in the end that the creators are spending time now to develop the different characters.
  3. FIRST! Thanks a ton coutstevo! Books came lighting fast and just the way I wanted them. Hope I can buy more stuff off you in the future!
  4. Except people have been waiting for Chew prices to fall ever since the value of the #1 issue skyrocketed immediately after release. Who's to say the back issues won't continue to increase in price while the series is ongoing? Chew maintained its value over four years and FANS still aren't hesitating to pay a premium even after the Showtime deal fell through. (fans, not speculators because a speculator wouldn't pay $300-400 for a raw copy of #1 after that twitter announcement) Prices of Saga #1 are three digits and there's no TV show speculation there. The price is based on the love for the series. And there are 37k copies of Saga #1 compared to the 5k for Chew (which doesn't even have a true variant to compete against). Is it really that unreasonable to think Chew maintains its value for at least another couple years? I don't have many extra copies of Chew beyond my personal set (which I don't ever plan on selling) so I could really care less what happens with its price. But it irks me a bit that some are so adamant on declaring the doom of Chew.
  5. http://multiversitycomics.com/columns/minding-mind-mgmt-issue-3/ Here's a link to one of the articles the editor referenced in the letter column of the zero issue. I actually prefer not reading these because I like figuring out the clues myself and coming up with my own theories. But glancing at these definitely made me realize how much I missed my first time through which is why I did a second reading.
  6. (thumbs u It was even better reading the first arc the second time through. I'll probably read all the issues again once the series is over in a couple years--will probably catch a lot of things that I missed this first time around.
  7. The listing is somewhat deceptive. I'm betting the buyer thought it was for 2 each Yeah, the buyer probably looked at the picture and not the description.
  8. Forgot to mention that each issue is jam packed with meaningful and interesting content. Love that I finally have a comic book that takes me more than 5 minutes to read.
  9. Mind MGMT has become my new favorite monthly comic book. The artwork didn't exactly appeal to me at first, but now I absolutely love it. The colors are wonderful and the style actually fits the storyline perfectly.
  10. Pretty nice spike from 14,098 for #5. Bet the awesome cover to #6 also helped!
  11. Hopefully the CGC 9.8 blues become a solid $100 book soon! Are the raws still going for $30?
  12. I thought this was the Revival thread haha
  13. Last three listings for Chew #1 (raw and NM) since the announcement about Showtime not making a show have been: $430, $360, and $420. A Chew #1 (CGC graded) sold for $510. If the prices stay steady and Chew keeps its value even without a TV deal in place, I think the prices could skyrocket if another station somehow picks it up. Really glad that one of my favorite comic books ever is staying strong on the secondary market, even though I don't have many extra issues to sell.
  14. Matt - that splash page is fantastic! Would love to get some one of a kind pieces of Mind MGMT, but I don't think I can afford to start collecting art. Already know it'd spiral out of control once I get the first one
  15. http://www.ebay.com/itm/221186509119?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Seems like the no TV show announcement isn't affecting prices?
  16. Feel really awful that this is happening to Tim and Mike. I've never met them, but from what I've read from their interviews, they seem like two of the most genuine and hardest working dudes in the business. I suppose there's a possibility that this is all a coincidence, but with ABC's track record regarding Fables and Once Upon a Time, I'm having a hard time believing their show is based on an unpublished book. Hope Revival still makes it to TV and blows that copycat show out of the water.
  17. $205 is low for Batman Adventures 12. It has had three sale in last three months for $300. There's still 8 days 3 hours 11 minutes 17 seconds!
  18. That issue was awful and fantastic at the same time
