  1. I just picked up a Cover B ( Adams ) of 157 from my LCS

    Looks even nicer in hand.

I think I'll get a set of 9.8's of these. They will look awesome.

Was 157 under-ordered? Are you guys all seeing sell outs in your local area?

My main comic shop was out of both covers when I got there (an hour after they opened on Wednesday)

My secondary shop was out of the Adams cover

  2. Pretty cool to have the backdrop of Cynthia for the cover! Makes sense, of course...just really cool. I bet the owners of that Italian restaurant are stoked (I would be if I owned it, at least)!

    Regarding the most recent issue:

Did anyone else think the reaction by Gabriel when he's in the tower was a bit overdone? After seeing his gasp, I was expecting to see hundreds of hundreds of walkers (or something worse) but instead it's like 80. Granted, there's a tree-line probably hiding some in the distance but it wasn't a massive herd or anything like we saw from the Whisperer's Camp earlier on. Gabriel does like to be a bit of an emotional basket case so maybe that's it...I was just expecting more based on his expression. 2c

I thought exactly the same thing when I read it. Certainly didn't look like an overwhelming number of walkers. I thought I missed something and looked all over the page for clues as to a different threat. (shrug)

I did the same thing. lol

    Can't wait for part two.

He's fairly new at this.. I wonder if his reaction means that he's not as prepared as he thought he was

  3. Got mine in today. I cannot believe how great the packaging is on this thing. It's going to be very hard for any of these to get damaged in shipping.

The edition size is 3,000. I love this statue. I hope they make additional Saga characters in this scale.

Really glad you like it!! We worked long and hard to make sure she was packaged properly. The last thing we wanted was for her to break in shipping. Same goes for the magnetic connections. We feared that if she took a soft tumble, the magnets would help keep the breakage to a minimum, especially the tail.

We're definitely looking at other stautes in the future. ;)

Great news! A Marko or Ghüs statue would rock

    Here's a pic of mine.

That looks sweet! The paint job is clean . Agree on the marko and Ghus statue.

    We need Alana too. :)

Make them all! Prince Robot, Hazel, Isabel..

But MOST importantly Stalk and The Will

  4. I'm thinking they are definitely going to fade to black and not show who dies. Which is unfortunate, because it's an unnecessary gimmick that does not further the story. A much better ending to the season would be seeing the death followed by showing the aftermath of a beaten down Rick and the group reeling. The suspense for next season would be "how are they going to come back from this" rather than a cheap, "who died."

I AGREE and will be very upset if thats how things turn out this Sunday. One thing you didn't mention is that I feel the idea to wait until next season to find out who dies via Negan's bat is a shameful ploy to get higher ratings for next seasons premiere. They can make much higher profit sell ad space for a 90 minute (Im guessing) premiere if millions will be turing in to see the guaranteed death of a main character. Just look at what they did with Glenn under the dumpsters this season.... UGH!

I respectfully disagree with you both.. here's why:

When Negan first showed up in the comic, he kills Glenn and we hated him for it. We immediately wanted revenge. It's all we cared about. We wanted Negan dead.

Rick tries, time and time again, to exact that revenge but Negan out-does him every time. Eventually we realize that we're dealing with a far more adept 'bad-guy' than we've ever have before. We start to learn more about Negan and we realize that he has his reasons for doing what he does. For many of us, he is now our favorite character.

He went from being the character I hated the most, to being my favorite. That's a pretty impressive turn for a 'villain' to make.

If Negan kills one of our favorite characters this Sunday, it will be painful. However, we will have 6 months for our rage too cool and our pain to heal. Whereas, if he kills on Sunday, but we don't know who.. We'll spend 6 months living in tension. And then when the season premier hits, we'll see that death. We'll lose that character, we'll crave that revenge, and we'll have 8 weeks of episodes to watch Rick try to obtain it and fail miserably.

I feel it's important, for Negan's character development, that we don't lose any of our 'anger momentum' after he kills whoever it is that he will kill.

  5. Why would the second print come in higher than the first print? The cover or is it a smaller run?

The first print had about 15 variant covers and a print run over 300k I believe.

The second print is the only cover to show the entire character, it's harder to find in high grade due to the black cover, and it has a significantly lower print run

  6. I don't think he is dead. It would suck for Maggie not having closure by not knowing what happened to him haha

That's what gets me with this whole thing.

Let's presume that he died. He would have been completely devoured, right? There would be no evidence of his death, nor would our group have any idea where to search for him.

You know Rick, Maggie and Co. are going to want to search for him when he doesn't return. And with no evidence of his death, that search could last forever.

There's going to have to be some sort of closure.
