  1. cool bit of info straight from Robert to me when i asked him to sign my book "RIP Bernie"

David, who was the other person that Carol burned to stop the spread of the illness, that character was initially named Bernie

Since he was a a "throw away" character, that would be BURNED to death, "Bernie" wasnt going to work as his name, so it was changed to David.

Comic Book Bernie was then named Bernie because Robert had the name in mine from earlier.

cant make this mess up :)

Wow that's an awesome story, TBP!

Such a good con this year!

  2. Jesus figures are up for sale. But they won't last. Got a bloody b&w

Negan figures seemed to last... Are these more rare? Or do people like Jesus more than Negan?

Oh well I was just talking about them being up for sale before NYCC. Cause I think I read that there were limited supplies before they unveiling at NYCC. Don't think they're more popular than Negan yet. They just came out. Even though his backstory is nil, doesn't mean he's not an awesome character. Negans backstory isn't in there right, or do I need to re read the story? hm Anywhoooo Jesus is a Boss. lol

They're both awesome characters. I have both Negan figures and I will certainly be picking up both Jesus figures in NY this weekend.. I just don't think either are investment pieces. But they will look good on my Dead shelf!

hm Dead shelf .......... When I was reading that, my mind went right to that damn Elf on a shelf that me and my wife bring out every year around Christmas .......wonder if I should do a dead elf on a shelf this year.

If you don't have kids you might not know what I'm talking about lol

My Dead shelf is a lot like Elf on a Shelf. Except it's displayed year round and is full of zombies

  4. i did :)

Nice, me too!! Not sure what to expect though, I wonder if there is a limit or if we can have a CGC witness on hand.

I won one as well.. 5 item limit and I'm almost 100% sure all Kirkman SS must go through CGC booth. No SS at his regular signings during the con

Man, you guys are on top of your game (thumbs u

How many did they give away?

  5. Wonder what Rosita wants to tell Eugene?
    baby on the way!
Maybe she wants to say: "Eugene......

    Maury-NotDaddy_zps0e4efdaf.jpg

Did I miss something though? Which issue was it that there was even remotely a connection between the 2 of them? Last thing I remember is she wanted no part in that. Your telling me that after 2 years and different communities, that Eugene is the only male for her? Lame

IIRC, Rosita moved in with Eugene after her and Abe broke up. It's possible they developed some feelings and they continued to intensify as time went on. Just a thought...

I thought they were romantically involved prior to AOW?

  6. It would take an awful long stretch of truly terrible issues to get me to drop this title.. I'm buying 3 copies of each issue now. I get all the trades, compendiums, toys, shirts, etc..

I have to say, this was the first time I was disappointed with an issue. There were so many opportunities for badass moments that were just missed. Also some 'unrealistic' actions/reactions made by the characters.

I'm ready to move on to the next arc.. I'm sad this one didn't live up to what I thought it would be

Oh.. one more thing about the fate of Negan:

I remember my girlfriend picking up a copy of #100 the day it came out because she thought the chromium cover was cool. Even though she only bought it for the cover, she decided to read it...

She called me, at work, bawling and sobbing on the phone over what happened to Glenn. She has hated Negan with a passion since then. She even gets mad when she shes my Negan figures on the mantle.

How am I going to tell her that the war is over and he still lives???

I think we're all forgetting how insane that moment was. And the emotion that was evoked by that issue. I'm not asking for more deaths or brutal revenge, but something that evokes emotion

  7. So just story question, does it strike anyone else as odd that somehow Rick isn't sick? It seems awfully convenient.
I always thought maybe Rick is affected differently by the virus - that maybe it gives him the "ever living" aspect without killing him. Maybe far fetched but he survived the hospital in the beginning, his hand and now possibly having been infected. Maybe even Carl and Judith also have this reaction to the virus which is how Carl survived the shot and how maybe Judith survived Lori's death (and maybe on the cover of 127?). If this theory is true then only a head shot could kill the Grimes family (if Judith did die it's because she was Shane's lol).

Wow.. honestly, I f'n love this theory! lol

Seems a little bit too 'unrealistic' for The Walking Dead though..

(Yes, I realize that the book is about the dead coming back to life, and to think that anything could be 'unrealistic' is just ridiculous)

  8. About the last page...

b)Rick used and infected knife and wants Negans death to be a slow burn.

Not to mention he's surrounded by Saviors. In issue 100, when Negan had Ricks group on their knees, he said this:

    original.jpg

Soooo if Rick didn't make a move in 100 because of the Saviors, what makes this situation different?

    .

    This is what I think.

    Whats' different this time is

Michonne, Jesus, ect ready to attack all the Saviors looking at Rick.

This leads to my theory that

Michonne, Jesus - or both - will die next issue.

I've considered this as well, but the thing with that is...

Michonne and Jesus seem to be hundreds of feet away where as the the Saviors are 3 feet away and all armed. How could Michonne and Jesus possibly get to Rick before one of the Saviors pulls the trigger?

  9. About the last page...

It looks like Rick barely cut Negan. In fact, it looks more like Rick dipped the knife in paint and flicked the paint at Negan.

    that means that either:

    a) Negan has just a scratch and won't die or

b)Rick used and infected knife and wants Negans death to be a slow burn.

I'm also feeling more that Rick may die next issue. The fact that so much emphasis was put on Rick not having the fever makes me think he might actually be doomed.

Not to mention he's surrounded by Saviors. In issue 100, when Negan had Ricks group on their knees, he said this:

    original.jpg

Soooo if Rick didn't make a move in 100 because of the Saviors, what makes this situation different?

Either Kirkman is cooking up the biggest mind-eff we've ever experienced, or he's lost his touch.
