  1. The pencil version of the new painting, same 19.5” x 29.5” format.
  2. I remember looking at this piece when Romitaman had it. It’s fantastic, and the framing turned out great! I think the theory was it might have been done as a cover for a European book, but I was never able to find an image.
  3. Pete has a strong eBay following. Overall accurate grading, fast shipping and well packed. Consistency far better than typical on the bay. He’s a second generation comic seller, took over his father’s business when he retired. Pete is a good guy. He gets amazing price results on raw books, that’s for sure.
  4. This piece just completed by Enric for me. 20” x 30” oil on canvas.
  5. Take them all at 50% off. Thanks.
  6. Annie. Being a completist is a sickness. This too while I’m at it: Saga of the Swamp Thing lot $ 12.00 VF 2-12, extra 2 and 11
  7. There are two unverified theories on the orange vs pink copies of Vampirella 4. One (maybe the most likely) is that when the original ink tank ran out, it was replaced with the wrong color for the remainder of the run. It’s likely that orange was the intention. The second theory was that they went back to print on the issue, and screwed up the ink loading or read it incorrectly. It is strange that there has never been any commentary by people who worked at Warren and would know the answer.
  8. Comic Link doesn’t report to GPA, and they’ve sold several 9.6’s the last three years above what GPA shows, but not near this price. So, the data will still be very low compared to sales. Lion’s Den set the precedent with his $25k sale, so this shows he was once again at the leading edge.
  9. Congratulations on that copy! It’s a fantastic looking 9.2. It’s becoming the parting of the red sea on the 9.6 grade. The 9.2 and 9.4’s have dropped from their earlier highs and the 9.6’s keep creeping up. That’s three 9.2’s right around $5k in a row vs the $7k range last year. From what I can see, you snagged the best one of them.
  10. It’s probably the least commonly found of the Warren Presents or at least tied with the Dracula ‘79. Looks like a very presentable copy. Congratulations!
  11. Correct, Jayman! A nod to his many romance covers.
