  1. Now I do feel that new issues should stay at cover til the following issue is released. Sure new comic day is Wednesday but doesn't mean the newest issue of Title Z should be a back issue.

True, but what about an issue that might have some delay or issued once per month? Personally, I feel that just allowing flippers to continue to purchase at cover. I don't feel that a LCS should mark it up above cover on release date but I have no problem with them using secondary market pricing the following Wednesday. You snooze you lose.

  2. You can still get 1 & 2 at cover on eBay... If not, its pretty close to cover...

You can still geta 1,2,3,4,5 1stt print at cover at Midtown still. That's prob your best bet

If you like bent corners!!

  3. Moderns I'm glad I purchases none of:

Any issue of Spider-Man since Slott took over.

    SEX 1

Blackacre ( Although the cover for issue 4 is sick )

    Five Weapons

Peter Panzerfaust 1 CGC 9.6 for over 400!!

You are missing out. Blackacre has been very enjoyable so far, 5 weapons is a fun read and Sex was so-so but IMO worth a few issue read

I never read Spider-man and we will see on PP

+1 on the Blackacre. You are missing out on a very good read.

  4. I agree with you. It reminds me of the Punisher Nightmare mini where the guy keep coming back alive but bigger, stronger, faster, revived faster each time. I do believe that eventually we will see the sister go insane. :insane:

  5. I hear ya. I have two climate controlled 10x20 units full of unopened G.I. Joe, Transformers, MOTU, and various toys. I'm slowly working on getting my Marvel collection back.

Are you collecting Marvel CGC or raw? I have a lot of loose Marvels from like 40-100 that I would be happy to send you...I can't guarantee condition, but all are decent

I collect raw. My kids love to read comic books so it's just hard to collect CGC.

Let me know if there are any specific Marvels you're looking for if you are interested and I will check for you...

I just got those issues from you that I was missing for my collection and thank you so much!! I hope that one day I will be able to pay it forward to you and/or someone else!! (thumbs u

  6. I was lucky at ECCC this year and was able to get Larry Hama's sig for my #155 which I subbed for Sig Series grading. He also did a quick little Snake Eyes sketch for me on a blank card I had brought. I can post a pic if anyone is interested.

Awesome. Share a pic if you get the chance!! (thumbs u

  7. I believe so many people are busy looking for the next Walking Dead for monetary reasons. I want the next Walking Dead for the long haul, a book that will be ongoing for years to come and if the first issue goes sky high then that's just icing on the cake. :cloud9:

    Thankfully there is SAGAH!!!!! :sumo:

I'm not a big fan of Saga. I love Revival but to say that it would be ongoing for years to come is a longshot.

Revival should go for around 60 issues

I was just reading that on another thread. I was thinking that if Revival continues to increase its sales, then it'll keep on trucking. If it was another walking dead (and that's a stretch), do you think they'd just get to issue #60 and say, "Ok boys, pack up...time to go!" Nah...they'll keep spinning ideas and giving the writers more money to keep the dollars coming in.

You gotta understand that this writer isn't like a lot of others. He will put in 60 issues and then move on. He has already done it with Hack Slash. Not saying they might not change their minds, but seeing that he has already done it once its a good bet it will happen again. Nice thing is Seeley also wrote about 20+ one shots and minis with Hack Slash so it might happen with Revival as well.

Although its not quite the same type of book.

Agree. These are creator owned books, too, so the idea of another creative team jumping on just isn't feasible. It's what I love about Image. Most of the time, the creatives on the series are their to stay. It also leads to delays, but that's another story.

    Did someone say Bedlam? lol

  8. Age of Ultron 1 has 9 covers (at least)

i'll be skipping this one. As far as events go, Civil War was must own/read for me.

War War Hulk I wish I had skipped.

    Secret Invasion was enjoyable

    Siege was pretty good

    I skipped Fear Itself

AvX was decent, but too long, and too much of it being pushed into the side books that made it feel incomplete.

Age of Ultron is an easy skip for me, I'lll by the first prints after its over, for sub-cover.

I'm passing too. I pass on most of what Marvel & DC put out nowadays.
