What makes one a shadow gallery reader? Post count? Lack of participation on a topic? Just curious....

 

To me, it would be those that just come one here to read what everyone feels will be a hot book or a book that is trending. I don't think post count has much to do with it but lack of participation on the boards period I feel makes one a shadow gallery reader. Heck, wasn't there some that were brand new to the boards and the first post they put up is trying to sell books that everyone here was talking about? No introduction, no dinner & movie, just wham, bam, thank u ma'am!!

Yup. There is a huge shadow gallery of readers of this thread. Even three months ago, stores didn't used to be sold out of hot new release books at 10am on a Wednesday.

For that I'm in for 50 copies of 1, 25 of 2 & 3

Not to mention that the print run will still be significantly lower than any of the Marvel Now! titles.

I believe so many people are busy looking for the next Walking Dead for monetary reasons. I want the next Walking Dead for the long haul, a book that will be ongoing for years to come and if the first issue goes sky high then that's just icing on the cake.

I'm not a big fan of Saga. I love Revival but to say that it would be ongoing for years to come is a longshot.

Exactly what they said...Hickman + Image #1. I bought multiple copies of the book because I like the artwork and I believe the book has potential.

cover of previews, it was never going to be a "surprise". my hopes for this is a solid long term, growing winner, without too much hype early.

Huge book store, magazines, video games, and movies. Really cool. Most have a comic book section, some better than others.

Really good deals. I live next door to one and I've found issues of Mind MGMT #1, Peter Panzerfaust #2 & #3, Saga #1, Revival #1 and multiple copies of Nowhere Men #1.

Hastings has some deals especially if you have one near you. Once in a while I plan a road trip and hit the ones in my area.

I don't think anyone initially thought this book ALL new x-men) was any good. Kinda like Hawkeye.

 

I don't see the similarities. Hawkeye was an under the radar title that built up a following as word of mouth grew about the good storyline, while All New X-Men was high profile title that was well received right from the start.

 

As far as print run, issue 1 had a relatively low run of 41,000 copies. X-Men, on the other hand, had a large print run (181,000). Hence why Hawkeye #1 is going for $20 or more and All New X-Men #1 is selling at or slightly over cover.

Exactly...All New X-Men #6 had like what...80,195 print run..Idk remember and just because Marvel goes back to make a 2nd printing people are scrambling and calling the 1st print hot?! Sorry, but this is why I put my money more into publishers like Image. Don't get me wrong Marvel & DC hit some good ones like Hawkeye but far and few in between.

The other thing that I didn't notice is that it's listed price is 3.50. No biggie, just noticed it...

i had both on my pull list at launch. Dont let the Image bias here fool you. Marvel is top dog for a reason.

 

Also, its funny that you saying what you said, has made 6 sell out on the usual sites. I can't believe how foolish people are, just blindly buying anything that people list here.

 

6 is all over ebay, and available at cover. I honestly dont even post books I think/see heating up anymore. I'd rather just PM people tips, than have the lurkers/eye of sauron vaporize anything spoken of instantly.

Until Marvel gets back Star Wars, I believe Deadpool will be everywhere. Once Marvel has Star Wars back then Boba Fett will grace the covers for them.
