  1. Kent, is that a real mustache? I shaved my beard once and left a stache for one day, it was maaaaadddd bushy!
  2. Allow me to introduce Mark and Anissa Grayson! Woohoo!
  3. As a fan of the series, I really need to see issue 127 before I pass any judgement. Hoping this all doesn't turn out to be inconsequential fluff.
  4. Chris, you're absolutely right, the CG for flying just hasn't been done right. I think Man Of Steel had it pretty good, but, that's a huge budget, no way Invincible would get that. Here's the problem with doing a HBO/Showtime/Cinemax thing. Sex. Invincible doesn't have any sex. I'd hate for the book to have to alter its subject matter just to be on television. Edit: consider what's popular on those channels now and see how Invincible would fit. I'd have to think AMC or maybe even FX would work. Can be violent as hell and still have the basic cable guidelines they'd have to adhere to.
  5. Look it up. Kirkman had like two scripts done a long time ago. Unfortunately, a movie called Sky High came out and Invincible didn't happen. Years ago I wrote 2 of 3 scripts. The first was all about introducing the universe but with more of a non-linear storytelling perspective, it ended with the Omni-Man/Invincible blowout. The second film was all about Angstrom and alternates. I had intended to write the 3rd but after talking to Kirkman about it years ago, decided to focus on my own thing (see Invincipals issue #98). As much as I'd love to see a film/show happen, I don't see it. Maybe I'm just reverse psychologizing everyone. Ryan had mentioned some stuff last time we talked, but, as of now Kirkman is all about TWD and Outcast.
  6. I think, as each day passes, this becomes less likely to happen. It'd be great, but, I'm certainly not holding my breath.
  7. Congrats! Hopefully the first of many pages! Interesting reason to buy it, without a doubt.
  8. Ah. I misread your post. I thought you meant an announcement made at nycc that pertained to invincible, not something that was just special for those at nycc. Wasn't he up there for the other NYCC thing? Bu$y bu$y.
  9. lets be honest for a moment. i feel, at this point, the only "cool invincible related nycc announcements" could be a show/film or a McFarlane toy series. EDIT: maybe a Rob Guillory or Tradd Moore guest artist issue would be cool too
  10. you know, i really love how ryan is drawing all the alien stuff. he's so creative and does such cool stuff on the side, but, with the deadlines, its not as much fun. the art is stellar as always, imo. the story, maybe not so much. anytime theres a lull in Invincible story, i always check to see what else Kirkman is doing those days. anything walking dead…….duh. definitely the money maker for him. sometimes i feel that Kirkman is only doing Invincible to poke fun at the industry.
  11. Thoughts on new issue? So stoked to see SR coming back, love that dude! Only 1 more issue before the reboot right?
  12. Oh man, when we all decide to sell these books at the same time, gonna be rough.
  13. Those look great on a shelf too...........next to the trades and compendiums. Haha!
  14. 1st page, that's awesome! Congrats! Luckily there isn't a whole lot out there to draw you in deeper.......unless you're at a show with Ryan.
  15. yeah, i saw that too. still, invincible 1 yo. nice.
  16. congrats, Chris! i think I'm missing 1 or 2 second prints.
  17. foxy! EDIT: what page has all the 1st app's on? isn't there a combined list for old/new valiant 1sts?
  18. I posted my pic of that DPS OA awhile back in this thread. Got it for a song, maybe best deal I've ever made in the hobby. here ya go. penciled by Ian Richardson.
