Although I am a huge Tec fan, I would take the Supes 1.

Tec 31. No brainer.
Yeah, I guess I agree. Adventure 40 was always considered a GA key, but I don't know if there is a GA hero deader than the original Sandman. So I guess even a rag of a Tec 31 beats it.
This.

So hey, here's a thing that happened.
Big thanks to Brantley/Stinger McK for working with me on this one!
(Pardon the annoying streaks, which are from the scanner... slab's inner well has a bit of funky rippling which my scanner is none too fond of.)
I love and miss this book.

I just received my Tec 33 back from getting restored. I cannot be happier with the results. Here are the before and after pictures. Previously, it was a CGC 1.0.
Wow, what an amazing improvement. The restored book has great eye appeal!
Congrats man. Kewl book.
Ya gonna slab it? Did Tracy H chime in on how it might grade out?
Trace said it would probably be 6.0 to 7.0. Having it in hand I would probably agree with him. I am not planning to slab it right now. I love how it looks in a nice Mylar.

if you have a specific copy I'm happy to lend my opinion

That is what I was afraid of. Thanks Rick.
Not at this time. I just havent seen this book come up for sale in a few years and was possibly thinking about pursuing one down the road.

He did win a Golden Globe in 2001 for his work on Ally McBeal if I remember correctly.
And yet the drug situation was so bad, they had to write him off the show.
TV Legends Revealed | Robert Downey Jr. Was Written Out of Own TV Wedding
Talented movie star Robert Downey Jr. spent pretty much all of the late 1990s fighting drug addiction, eventually serving almost a year in prison beginning in 1999. Within a week of his release on probation, Downey signed on to Ally McBeal, presumably in an attempt to rehabilitate his image (as well as to keep the show’s ratings from dropping). He joined the cast for the fourth season, playing Ally’s new boyfriend Larry. The move was a critical and commercial success, and the show was once more buzz-worthy, garnering headlines just like it did in the first two seasons.
While everything was going well on the show, the same couldn’t be said for Downey’s personal life. He was miserable being “stuck” doing television (he didn’t have a problem with the show or his co-stars, he just hated the 9 to 5 work atmosphere after the much more flexible schedule of film) and his drug use continued. He got caught with drugs again in November 2000, but while awaiting the hearing, he continued acting on Ally McBeal. However, in April 2001, with the filming finished on all but one episode of the season, Downey was arrested once again for drug use, although he wasn’t charged (he was on cocaine at the time, though).
RDJ has come a long ways since those dark and troubling times.
+1. He has come a long way.

I forgot about this. But RDJ was on Ally McBeal from 2000-2002. He was fired due to bad press over a drug arrest.
The man has really turned his life around, and become more a role model for positive outcomes.

Losing steam
Looks like. Though I think the CBCS and brittle pages scared people off too.
I think the brittle pages of both books scared people off.

Just stopped by Blastoff comics the other day.
My wife and I were right by there and I sorta dragged her in.
We both commented how the store was the cleanest and least cluttered store we had ever been into.
It appeared that the woman at the store was the owner and was very knowledgeable and nice.
Best selection of Golden Age Batman I have ever seen in a local store.
Detective Comics or just Batman?
They frequently have new vintage books every now and then. Owner's name is Jud. Nice guy to talk to. He told me he once sold multiple GA keys maybe last year with the highlight being a Pep 22 unrestored mid grade.
This is good to know for sure. I will be sure to check with them.

I think that they were all Batman. at least a dozen on display, mostly locked in a display case.
I must admit since I ma not in the market for either title I did not really study the books
Thanks for the heads-up. I will have to give them a call.

69 gets all the love, but I think 71 is just as cool.
Not to derail the Tec 69 love, but this 71 is a sweet looking copy.

Not impressed with Lex, at all.
+1
Eisenberg looks to be channeling his best Joker impersonation.
-
Well at least that is pretty awesome.
