  1. Generally not sad about selling too early — like in all of the Star Wars 42 I used to have — but both of these were literally a couple weeks after I sold.
  2. unless i missed something I did not see any big clue in the last mando episode unless ezra is dressed up like mando and immitates his voice No, I don't think you did, but one more episode (12/18) for the finale (which is what @awakeintheashes was referring to).
  3. never regret selling early, regret not buying enough Should we go to that one store and "find" the other copies of Kanan #6 for $2 and see the owner lose his mind?
  4. Once again I sold during the trough about a week ago when prices died down. Based on my luck, Kanan 6 will take off shortly. And there we go; sold my 2 9.6 copies for $120 each at the end of November and a 9.6 just sold for $338,
  5. My bank account would have preferred a Silk movie, but I’ll take Riri.
  6. I’d rather wait for the news to spread a bit before listing any of these comics.
  7. A Thursday before a Mando episode release and the day of known property announcements is not the time to have items on eBay.
  8. dont remind me You are still alive! You told me not to buy it, lol. Was $2000 the price he said?
  9. Similar, smaller scale story over here. There was a local guy selling an entire SW DH set — all series all issues — on CL for $2500. It sat for probably a year, even when a few issues started taking off. But I still didn’t pull the trigger as I thought of all of the long boxes of $1 (or less) books I couldn’t sell. Cut to now and it was a great deal someone got for allegedly $2000. It may seem like you missed out on a deal, but many of those DH books will only maintain value if Disney brings the characters into canon. There is a frenzy to get any and all 1st appearances now, but there are some characters who just won't work. It's possible you only missed out on a few-month selling window, which depending on the size of the collection, you could have been left with a lot of books you couldn't move in the window. Just trying to be glass half full. *If* I was the buyer I would definitely need to be very in-tune with what characters/books are hot and when and sell at the right time. Not enough time to grade before selling but a nice profit. However, the collection contained Clone Wars #1, Heir #1, full SW Tales, and full KotoR; I'm pretty sure with just those books (or a subset) I would have broke even.

  11. Nice; knew I should have kept that series. No longer selling any Star Wars until they are lit. Only a matter of time, apparently, before every issue is aflame (I guess).
  12. I give it about 18 minutes before someone is interested enough to figure this out. It won't be me, but all the info is there! (I think) Done. it was actually Oct 21 not 12th.
  13. Looking at this image again, I don't think it's too bad, or as bad as some (ahem) are saying. I have definitely seen worse than this on variants, and that's fine, as it's art and it's subjective. A more objective note is that this is the first issue introducing an entirely new (? my SW knowledge lacks here) universe of characters and the cover is focused on just one. The same can be said of the 1:10 variant. I think a single character spotlight variant would have been fine for cover A/B/C/D "you choose" but a ratio deserves more (esp if the highlighted character doesn't take off).
  14. Consider me clueless or at least lost on every specific Star Wars reveal; why is this issue/title "hot"?
  15. Thrawn was mentioned in the latest Mando episode. People hoping/believing he will, therefore, show up there soon. And as shown by Ahsoka, a TV is good enough to pop those wallets. As another example of the Mando phenomenon, another character who has been around for some time is seeing huge comic sales now.

  17. I do. Send me a PM and I’ll scan when I get home.

  19. Though I don't know how accurate this method is (perhaps if you sold a Best Offer item I can try it to see how it behaves), it was noticed if you right-click on the sold eBay page and go to "View page source". A new window/tab should open. If you Find (ctrl-F) for "taxExclusivePrice" that should be what the sold price is. "taxExclusivePrice":"225.00"
  20. This one sold for $225. Interesting the pen colors change, assuming it was also signed at SDCC.
  21. 2020 is a game changer as we all have extra time to think, collect, and watch the comic book auction market explode.. and that is the issue.. the risk of damaging vs improving... and catching the market just at the right time to sell or trade up. my advice on the pressing is this... if you are gonna press and flip...now.. I would do from a monetary standpoint. If these are your permanent collection books I would leave unrestored or the fancy way to say conserved ... oops that not it... sad state of affairs. To my original question: perhaps Susan? On my own comics, I would like to have some of them graded for protection and as a restoration check. It's easy for a GA comic to be additionally scuffed/chipped/etc going in and out of bags -- especially those hard plastic "bags". Also, if I am having them graded, I would want to do any pressing before to avoid double-grading costs in the event I do sell down the line.
  22. More of a general question, but on huge keys like this (not saying this one in particular), who do you think is used for pressing? On my $500 golden age comics I'm concerned about sending them out and having additional damage done b/c the thing is 70-80 years old.
