  1. Exactly. Long story short, was at a store (physical store) where back issues are $2 each (and clearly labeled as such). I pulled out several copies of a hot comic. Took them up and the owner said it’s a limit of one — even for 5 year old back issues. I put the extra copies back and bought one . Went back to the store and all the other copies are gone; they are now up on his eBay site at auction. Feel like I should get some sort of commission.
  2. There's a CGC 9.6 copy in Orinda, California: https://www.ebay.com/itm/133204370112 Per the Diamond site, allegedly 20 copies: "Plus, you will get a free, extremely rare Ultimate Comics Spider-Man #1 Pichelli Sketch Variant, limited to a print run of 20 total copies. This offer is on a first-come, first-served basis as supplies are limited."
  3. Perhaps the book is cooling off a tad or perhaps it's the economy. For rare books (rare meaning this isn't the modern section where you can find multiple copies of a book in any grade at any time), it's all just guessing, unless another 3.0 comes to market soon.
  4. I wonder if it was the staples or that is the price of a 3.0. I don't think the crease detracts as much, considering it is a 3.0.
  5. Perhaps the sketch version of this issue. Not currently listed on MCS so this is the color version.
  6. You know an artist is reaching over-saturation once the comic stores start offering their own variant sets. Unfortunately, the time from acknowledged artist to over-saturation is getting shorter and shorter. Gotta that make money.
  7. It looks like this topic has not been updated for some time, and a lot has gone on since then, but is this, then, Jay's alleged "documented proof"?
  8. A newsstand is a variant!!!!!1111 Newsstand is the standard issue for the non-direct market. Prior to 1975, newsstand was the only edition. How can the version that's been around for 80 years be a variant? It is the original. All others are variations on the newsstand edition. It was a joke.
  9. Not for single issue comics. Define please? There are several (many?) Moebius books from the copper age over $100 dollars but those are all graphic novels, TPBs, etc. Not a one-issue comic as part of a series. Unless I am missing one....
  10. The only “Wild” copy I saw of 45 was courtesy of @jsilverjanet
  11. Wow, this book has really taken off if that eBay price is correct. Glad to see it finally getting some attention.
  12. Thanks; I have no idea why this shows up so blurry. Is your take coming from being familiar with Rob's signature or checking it out online?
  13. Would anyone be able to tell me who signed this? Is it Rob Zombie or one of the creators?
  14. I need ASM 4 to spike some more. $200 for a 9.8... meh. But they did print a lot of those. I guess just put her in a video game.
