  1. Good guess I posted on my Instagram story feed about him and he sent me a messaging saying that what i'm doing is "against the law". Then he made a post tagging me and CGC talking about it being completely their fault and that they've had the books for a month. I said it on the first page of last thread about this....he has emotional maturity issues in dealing with issues like this. He could have easily: 1. Accepted his fault in this by admitting to listing them as is AND not putting anything in the subject line about restoration 2. Apologized and moved on 3. Stopped digging the hole deeper by talking about disassembling books, removing resto and what not. Pretty simple when one realizes how to handle situations like this instead of making it worse. Unfortunately, it seems like this thought pattern/process will continue. Probably a result of a privileged upbringing where your dad allows you to make a career out of selling comic books. So, if I'm following correctly, this goes back to Dylan asking the original buyers for the books back and he sent them to CGC for a new holder/label. I believe this particular ASM was one which was supposed to be sent back. Does Dylan have the books back or not? If he doesn't have the book, why was it relisted? If he does have the book, it should be a different label.
  2. Got it; so the 2 previously-sold eBay copies went for those prices. Are there any saved eBay sales from March/April as a comparison?
  3. Maybe this time someone should drop Overstreet a note. I also hereby rescind my previous "Huzzah" and "hats off".
  4. Trying to decipher this. Are you saying before the hype 9.0 copies were selling for $15k?
  5. Another solid price for a #7 2nd print CGC 9.8. $1326
  6. There is hope. Several weeks with nothing, then it just shows up. I also signed up for text notifications and never received any when it reappeared in CA, was out for delivery, or was delivered.
  7. And people know these are second prints, right?
  8. I don’t think that is a sign of manipulation. Higher prices — of any collectible — usually brings more copies to market.
  9. Thanks. Are there any other recent sales or just this one? Trying to figure out a 9.4 price.
  10. Exactly. “We’ll be good from now on (now that we are caught); we promise.”
  11. Actually, it’s the opposite of a pressing thread. If you press, no need to put your hand up....or even post at all. nm
  12. Without dragging this too deep into old arguments Let me summarize The question was asked:Why are pressed books not noted on label or graders notes? A: Because there is no way to distinguish between a ‘pressed’ book and a book that was packed tightly in a box and was pressed naturally from storage This answer has been disputed and I take no position on this answer one way or the other. But it is the stock answer for why pressing is not on the label or in graders notes So, then, who here has never packed their books tightly in a box? Not only another pressing thread, but with a dash of self-congratulation. Cool.
  13. Yea that is a good point.....im not worried about fomo but worried if i dont get a copy now for my own collection, the prices will be too ridiculous for me to own one. Isn't that kind of the definition of Fear of Missing Out?
  14. Yep: I did open some type of request and nada. Last night I opened yet another type of request (I don’t know the exact difference for the two as they both are for missing/lost mail). I understand the USPS worker and overtime shortage; I know packages and mail will take longer. I don’t understand how not having overtime completely loses/misplaces a package for weeks.
  15. I didn’t include this info in my post: I did not ship comics I sold. I shipped my own comics to get pressed.
  16. All right USPS experts, I shipped a Flat Rate Priority box of 30 comics which has been stale since 7/27. I am about to file a claim to recoup some of my costs via insurance. Considering these were comics purchased over the course of years, what do I do for this step (via https://www.usps.com/help/claims.htm#) in order to get paid? (Not to mention they have no idea what is in the box to begin with, so not sure how, if I magically come up with 30 receipts, they know that is what is in there.) Proof of Value Proof of value is the cost or value of an item when it was mailed. Any of these can be used to show proof of value: Sales receipt Paid invoice or paid bill of sale Statement of value and/or estimates of repair costs from a reputable dealer Credit card billing statement Receipt of costs incurred for reconstruction of non-negotiable documents Printouts of the online transaction identifying the purchaser and seller, price paid, date of transaction, description of item purchased, and assurance that the transaction status is completed
  17. I was quoting a movie line from a comedy...and I actually think theyre awesome and have superhuman strength. Perfect. While you're here, could you tell us who you think excels the most at sports and why?
  18. Holy this board censors the word for mentally handicapped people. What a bunch of snowflakes. “Never go full I am Sam!” Glad you found that Sam loophole, I see you like to use it a lot. And snowflake, very cool. You’re a fun person. I wouldn’t be upset if you went to another forum where you could use whatever words you want.
  19. Same. What I would do in this situation is fly in some of my boys from way back. We’d set up a perimeter out front, say 20 feet, erect a high-grade fence, and start digging trenches. A couple lads would pile sandbags af the back entrance and position proxies near the indie longboxes (just in case). The rest of the crew would be across the street, on the second floor above the salad restaurant, with scopes (wink). They’d never make it to the fatal funnel. Haha. Beers on me.
  20. This thread brings “internet tough guys” to a whole new level.
  21. So people buy the 2nd print and then hope Marvel doesn't release a 3rd print (or 4th) as, then, that becomes the "lowest print run" version of the comic? Sounds fun.
