  1. I’ve never seen trimmed notation but I trust west knows what he’s talking about. I had a Siamese book once and I just swiped quickly with my fingers to relieve the togetherness. I have done the same -- on accident -- with a small section where two "pages" were stuck together. This is a good portion of several pages. I'm guessing I could do it, but the end result won't look pretty. I am going to leave it alone for now.
  2. Gator probably knows, but I’ve always done well contacting CGC directly. And although I’ve never tried it, there’s an “Ask CGC” thread here on the boards: https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/forum/23-ask-cgc/. They don't know, either:
  3. Hi - I have a Golden Age book with the first 6 or so wraps (12 pages) uncut for 1/2 - 3/4 inch at the top. Pictures below. Should I leave them as-is to maintain how the comic was produced, or is there a way to separate them and still receive a Universal grade? thanks.

And although I’ve never tried it, there’s an “Ask CGC” thread here on the boards: https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/forum/23-ask-cgc/. You're right; I will try there as well. Since Timely was also a grader, was checking with him as well.
  5. Siamese. So, I’m guessing I have to leave the pages like that and can’t cut them myself? Otherwise green label?
  6. And not stated in the title. Wonder if it would have gone higher. Fortunate the seller sold as an auction and not BIN.
  7. Missed out by missing that lot or missed out by not bidding high enough?
  8. You say Siamese. I say exciting variant It does make it a little difficult to read when 12 pages are stuck together.
  9. Unsure where to post this but would this be considered Siamese pages or something different?
  10. Time to update the title to 7 (!) variants? South Africa. Cover has 9 but indica has 457.
  11. I saw quick notices from eBay come up regarding Managed Payments, but the latest one has a deadline: July 15th. It seems like there are still questions, overall, as to what changes and what stays the same, in terms of fees (final and listing), payout timing, etc. One item that is pretty clear is the "removal" of PayPal for sellers. It may be a small part for some, but I use my PayPal account as my "comics" account; whenever I sell a comic, money goes there; whenever I buy a comic, that's where the funds come from. Now, it appears, everything has to go through my bank account; I can still pay with PayPal, but first have to transfer funds from sales into it. Is this correct or am I misinterpreting?
  12. It's the first appearance of Ted's Fashion Outlet. Street Fashions USA?
  13. Great story and great thinking. Sealed bids/auctions are stressful. Do you still have any of the comics pictured?
  14. I don't think the seller is at fault, the buyer just grabbed this copy, the one he said he had in his collection, to screw me. Tell me if this is correct: You met *ballard* on eBay and worked out a private trade for the X-Men #1. You did some research on eBay and found a very similar looking restored X-Men #1 from seller X (name unknown) -- which you believe is the same book you traded for.
  15. Was this trade done through eBay? Is this the eBay ID of the original seller of the purple book? Don't want to put an ID out there if the book is now a level or 2 removed.
  16. Is there also tape on the interior cover?
  17. Yes, a very reasonable dealer who usually has keys as well as cool indie stuff. I found about 30 of the UF 2nd prints (variants and normal) at a shop for $0.10 each. All gone now; the 9.8s hurt. Can’t hold ‘em forever though.
  18. Free shipping so it's probably $0.65 a book considering he is shipping 2 long boxes of books. I don't see any killer books but at least they are not all Valiant or Malibu. Little over 2x$1 is good but nothing crazy high priced for all #1s. The buyer is paying $0.80 per comic.
  19. $400?!? I'd pay money not to have that drek in my house. When the third listed "highlight" book is Stupid #1, there's a problem. And it's not even the signed version! $0.80 per issue is insane unless there is something hidden in those pictures I cannot find.
