  1. Have two 9.6's, would trade them + cash for a 9.8, always wanted a 9.8 hard to find.

lol...get in line bro. I think I've mentioned at least 1x in this very thread I was looking as well....LMAO.

Good to see they're resurrecting this comic. Loved the limited series, should make a great ongoing.

It's already been thru it's "movie/tv/comic speculation" phase as well...so just fans on the boat with this one.

  2. Gypsy, Vibe, Vixen- from DC's rich history, why are they taking all these characters from (IIRC) the worst version of the JLA that no one cared about? There was a reason that book got cancelled.

Don't you recall that they originally wanted to use Ted Kord for Arrow instead of Ray Palmer? The answer given at that time was that they had big screen plans for Ted, whereas they didn't necessarily have any immediate plans for Ray.

They're probably using characters that won't be an issue with whatever plans they have in other media.

  3. The Flashpoint team arguments are a bit lame IMO.....especially considering almost everyone at Star Labs has an appreciation of space/time.

Barry didn't 'change' any timeline. He went back into his own timeline and altered one or two things. That resulted him him being shifted to an entirely different timeline where those same events happened (ie-Cisco's brother dying, Caitlin's powers, etc.)

Furthermore, Barry has openly discussed the 'differences' in these timelines to the folks at Star Labs (and the other teams: Arrow, LOT, Supergirl)....and has told them things that would only make them upset.

He never bothered to tell Cisco his brother was a murderous metahuman on another Earth in league with Zoom.

He could totally confront Diggle and say...."Yeah, I ran back in time and did whatever...."....but try explaining how I changed up your sperm cell so that it resulted in another gender at birth. What happened there? Did Barry run so fast he ended up in Diggle's testicles or something?

The stupidest of all characters has to be this Savitar clown though....

He's UPSET with Barry for screwing with him in the future. But HE is the clown that makes first contact with Barry in the past. Can anyone say PARADOX? Duh Hindu god of speed.

So it's all different timelines Barry is ending up in.....not creating. They all exist simultaneously along the original (and now virtually inaccessible) timeline.

  4. I've just thought of an interesting, analytical side project for Nick / Bosco, which follows on from a post I made in the Water Cooler thread.

Factoring in population differences, can you see a significant increase in ticket sales for Dr Strange, especially Imax 3D, in the US states which have legalised cannabis?

    Something a bit different, anyway.

Cannabis, no - LSD, - yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

    That trippy?

    Parts of it, definitely.

Considering the length of an acid trip compared to that of a movie, I hope those that decide to dose have a designated driver. :wishluck::)

They COULD always opt for some DMT instead. :)

  5. So 2024 is like less than 10 years away from now......why is Wolverine OLD at all?

Didn't we see him in flashbacks from like the Civil War in the Wolverine movie? He's been kicking it for at least a century and looked pretty "young" in the first 3 X-men movies which were presumably in the modern era. So he ages like 10x faster or something since those took place? WTF?!?

Methinks it's a bit premature to put him and Xavier in Mutant old-age homes.

    Plus....lukewarm, weaksauce villains? :(

His mutant powers arent working 100%, specifically his healing factor. Hence the scars on his face and back.

Looks like they are tying in 3 months to live, death of wolverine in with old man logan and X-23

Yeah, I'm not sure I'm buying it. Days of Future Past took place in 2023 and both Logan and Xavier are still looking pretty spry and ready to tangle with advanced Sentinels. One year from that date shouldn't enable those characters to become both senile and decrepit. This graphic depicts the four screwed up timelines resulting from Singer's tomfoolery:

  7. Iron Fist's Star Responds To The Backlash About The Marvel Show

Marvel TV shows haven't shied away from hot button topics like race in the past, but the latest controversy may be among the most intense to date. The casting of Finn Jones as Danny Rand a.k.a Iron Fist in his upcoming Netflix series has generated some unfavorable comments, with many arguing that the role is tailor-made for an Asian actor -- a demographic which is already sorely underrepresented in Hollywood. Now it seems that Finn Jones has chimed in on the matter, and he wants fans to wait to see Iron Fist before they rush to criticize the casting choice.

"What I would say to that is, people should wait, and watch the show before they pass judgment... The comic books were written in the '70s. 1970s was a very different world to 2016, and we're going to reflect that. We have an incredibly diverse cast; incredibly talented. What I would say to that is, wait until you've seen the show, and then pass judgment, before you make comment, because people will be very, very, very pleasantly surprised with what we're doing in the show."

Why has no one simply said "The character in the comics is a white guy...not Asian". Seems like this is the most reasonable (and only) explanation.

Because the backlash is more likely the result of uninformed folks pushing a PC agenda.
