  1. I remember this one actually took me awhile to track down. Kind of a different cover for a horror book, but sports fans ought to like it...
  2. Interesting. Although I agree that the higher grades finally deserved an upwards bump, I do not think 2.0 copies are realistically going for $114 FMV. That's probably too high. Shocker.
  3. Those are some very sought after books. Actually, I'm surprised OSPG finally got around to bumping them up. BTW- can you list the new prices for all grades?
  4. Love the colors on this one! Certainly, "Satan" had to be a hot (no pun) marketing buzzword for horror books in the early 1950's. I wonder how many readers today would know what a stradivari is, though. Man, wish my LRC wasn't obliterated.
  5. I like 134 bunches, myself. Always found it odd though that the husband finds it strange to be getting company at midnight, yet thinks nothing of still being dressed in a suit.
  6. If you send me a complete pre-code reader (one I need, natch) I will gladly remove my scan.
  7. Great pic! Wish I possessed a fraction of the talent represented there. (Like 1/4th )
  8. Nice pick up! I'll post mine here in the next couple days. I don't recall it being in as good of shape as yours.
  9. It's a great piece of artwork, either way. I like them both & find it hard to pick a fave, but if I had to I'd take the original because of the detail. just a matter of taste. Personally, I like the side panels, too. I used to hate them for the same reason as Sterling, but they have grown on me over the years. I think of them as "extra treats" now. In a similar vein, one thing I still haven't changed my stance on is needless word balloons on a cover. Nothing like ruining a great piece with a big old "Look! It's your husband! He's come back from the dead for revenge!!!" balloon.
  10. Dang. Here's my WoF #5, I really need a better copy!!To rub salt in the wound, aside from the missing corner, the rest of the book is very solid!
  11. The JIF 4 & 21 were definately the ones I had in mind. Thanks!
  12. Thanks, Jay! I actually was wrong, that is not the book I was thinking of. There are 2 issues of Journey into Fear with "eyeball" covers.
  13. I think the Superior one is from Mysteries Weird & Strange... I'm sure there are others...
  14. I like this one. The combo of the eyes, the corpse, and the black just goes together well, don'y you think?
  15. Don't thank me, thank Shelly Moldoff. Wish I had a better copy!
  16. I like those Ace books, & that is a nice looker. (thumbs u
  17. I have that one! It was my first underground I ever bought! WOW! Bringing back some memories of Maverick's in Middletown.....
  18. WELCOME TO THE BOARDS!!! Nope, you are not breaking any rules. However, we already know the blog. Thanks, anyway.
