  1. Speaking of manga, I got a tad cheesed at Jeopardy the other night. The question was " The term used for animation from Japan?" The guy answers, "What is manga?" Alex responds, "Correct. Manga or anime." I thought the terms refered to differing forms of medium, apparently Jeopardy does not. As for last night's drink... hint: It Came from Maine.
  2. They didn't have implants in the bronze age, did they?. I think those puppies might be "all natural"!!
  3. I love the dialogue, especially the "allergies" line!
  4. It was a good joke. Probably the best joke I've seen on the boards. (thumbs u So Andrew, was your nominee supposed to be "Monster Crime" or were you thinking of "The Horrors of the Underworld." ??
  5. You'll be back! You cannot escape the clutches of... horror comic collecting!!!
  6. I have a collector buddy here in town that had been telling me about it and wanted to know if I had any info on it. He finally sent me a scan of it so I could post it on the boards. It was published in JAN 1955 by Ajax/Farrell and it is the only copy he (me for that matter as well) has seen. I'm thinking it was the last gasp of the Horrific series before the CCA. It appears to be a one shot that has no number on the cover, but in the indicia inside it says HORROR CRIMES #15. Has anyone else seen one? Thanks, Andrew. Would it be possible for you to put me in contact with your friend here in town? Is he specifically a horror comic collector, or a comic collector in general? I'd love to chat with another local horror comics fan! Anyway, this is mind blowing if it pans out. Going by the scan I would call BS, because it looks like a photoshop job. However, you say you have seen it up close, and you are ( IMO ) a trusted member of these boards. Do you recall any story titles from the interior? Who showed you (owned) the book? Also, when you nominated the book, you said you have never seen one, but now you say you have, and even managed to produce a scan. I'm NOT calling you a liar, I've spoken with you personally & consider you a decent guy, but I'm wondering if you are playing a practical joke on us, or maybe the possibility someone has pulled the wool over your eyes?
  7. Yeah, I managed to blank out on Voodoo Annual as well, and I even have it listed as a grail in my profile! Certainly should have been on the list. Maybe next year we can do another poll & remember to nominate it. I agree with Matthew on the satire book. I only listed Monster Crime because it was nominated, but I didn't vote for it because I don't consider it horror.
  8. WOW! That's not even the highest graded copy, right?!
  9. Hey Andrew, can you explain your "Horror Crimes" nomination? I've never heard of it, and it isn't in my OPG.
  10. My personal experience was that Clutching Hand was not hard. BTW- Where ya been?
  11. OK, wondering if it is appropriate now to officially pronounce the poll over?
  12. Very impressive! BTW- May I call "dibs" on that 202
  13. It has been quiet in here. Let's chat! Sterling, I'm sure you probably have stated before, but what is your goal? Is there a cut-off point, as in are you content with a 9.2 , 9.6? Or are you going for highest graded copies of all possible issues? Impressive collection, whatever the goal! (thumbs u BTW- you have any undercopies of Unexpected 202?
