  1. This was also reprinted in one of those oversized "treasury" type editions, which is where I read it as a kid. If I had a scan I'd share. Anyone? ...and not to flog a dead horse, I hope I haven't mentioned this before, but when I was a kid I misunderstood that panel where the MD is scrubbing up. I thought for the longest time that the suds were actually the kid's brainmatter that the DR had already scooped out!
  2. Now THAT is a nice score. Don't you love it when you just stumble across something like that unexpectedly?!

  4. Here's (IMO) a good example of a bland ACG. Nice, clean lines. Skull looks cool. Overall though, a "ho-hum" situation/feel. Does this one impress any of you?
  5. Yeah, that really is an interesting example. Some publishers had very BAD coloring compared to that.
  6. Nice score. I buy the EC reprints over the originals, myself. Saves me $$$
  7. Great stuff, all! You guys are wasting your talents here on these boards! (not that I'm complaining. best laughs I've had all day!)
  8. It's a little more obscure that the Harvey books. It presents more of a challange, Ace! Thanks! I got it now. Let's see if anyone else gets it. I'll PM you my guess.
  9. I'm stumped. Looks like it coud be a Harvey. Is it from a Chamber of Chills?
  10. That copy looks strangely familiar... Is it yours? Snagged the scan from the GCD. Huh. Ain't that something. Looks like the GCD must be getting scans from here.
  11. I used to smirk at ACG, but I've been slowly trying to put together a complete (& affordable!) AIU pre-code run for over a year, and have since really grown a fondness for their distinct style. Certainly a LONG run!
  12. Now THIS is a fine example of a powerful ACG cover, IMO. Care to argue? I present AIU # 27...
  13. AIU # 26, not the most powerful ACG cover, but not the worst, by far. I'm glad they didn't goof it up with sappy textboxes & dialogue.
  14. Thanks Scott & WELCOME TO THE BOARDS!!! Feel free to share some scans & info here, horror-head! I do notice I have no "followers" for the blog, though. People can follow the blog by clicking a link at the bottom of the page.
  15. Hey Fiends, I'm trying to get a blog going. Check it out: http://horrorcomicsreview.blogspot.com/ Let me know what you think!!!
