A have just added an early splashy Sean Phillips page from Sleeper #10 page 11 (2003) to ebay. It is an auction, ending this Sunday with a low starting bid and NO reserve. The art appeared in the story "Bulletproof" and features the lead characters Carver, Miss Misery and Genocide Jones. The art is done on 11x17 artboard, signed by Sean and is an beautiful condition. I've only been collecting since 2015. It seemed the obvious evolution from collecting comics. Since I started I have bought and sold a lot of art (mostly modern) in the attempt to obtain a nice defining page from my favorite comics both past and present. Some of these books include Scalped, Love and Rockets, Batman, Deadly Class and Southern Bastards. I plan on slowly adding pages, covers or splashed that fit my collection as they become available. For me, it doesn't matter when the book comes out. It is ALWAYS the first thing I read and it is ALWAYS worth the wait.

This is one of my all time favorite series. From start to finish it is a true masterpiece. When I finished reading it I had to own art from it and was lucky enough to be able to purchase the original cover art to #2. I have been searching for a long time for a great Jaime Love and Rocket and finally found it. I have just added a nice early page from 1984. Love and Rockets #4 page 3 part of Locas: 100 Rooms. The page features, wrestling, a some what nicely contained little story, Hopey and Maggie in almost ever panel and Jaime's perfect line work & storytelling. Deadly Class and Southern Bastards

I learned my lesson the wrong way. I am by no means a huge collector but I did sell a cover once that had an original art paste-up over more original art. The artist didn't like the way a characters head looked in the original so they did another face and pasted it on-top. I didn't think to let the buy know and when they received it they asked to return it. I of course accepted the return and we discussed it. They told me they just dislike art with paste-ups. No harm done except, when the cover came back to me customs dinged me for $100+ on it.
