  1. Repeat customer here! Tyler is an amazing seller. He sets a whole new standard in this industry. - A+++ communication; - Careful screening of the item to give you an accurate grade and scans of the book; - The best packaging ever. Full stop. No competition. - Pricing is extremely reasonable - always considerate of the Fair Market Value.. will advise if Overstreet are above or below FMV with sources to back up that analysis, the same with GPA. Absolutely no gouging here. If anything, the opposite. - Really personalises each transaction by including a little gift that always maps perfectly to my collecting focus. I honestly cannot recommend anyone anywhere more highly than Tyler. I've dealt with lots of boardies and even more eBayers.. had plenty of awesome transactions. But Tyler lifts the bar each time.. making each transaction a pleasure and setting a new standard for all sellers out there. Completely trustworthy and dependable. I'll be buying more books for sure, but stoked to be able to call Tyler a mate.
  2. Thanks funnybooks1969, monstro, solarcadet and HarveySwick - loving this book to pieces. Hopefully not literally. It looks great up on the wall. Not quite sure I understood what BlowUpTheMoon meant. But I related to the emoticon. I couldn't wait... Thanks brother. I love this book.
  3. WTF is going on in your sig? Who would just lie back and take that?
  4. Ooh. While I'm here. Has anyone done any gaming on the 2013 Macbook Air? I'm hearing really good things - but wanted to hear from a trusted mob.
  5. See you next year then. There are a butt load of trophies alone!! Good luck brother!
  6. Nice find, T. You already know because I'm a blabbermouth... but this one for me:
  7. +1 That is so awesome. My plastic container on wheels looks pretty "cutlery" now.
  8. Ooh huge call! 11 is a beautiful cover. But 251 still holds the gravy for me! (Even if it isn't golden or silver)
  9. Maybe they view this as a cameo and Spirou 1072 to be their true first appearance. - love it. Great book RR. Nice find.
  10. I'm on a bit of a doco binge at the moment.... last month I posted about the Artscape episodes that were available on the Aussie ABC iView service. Since then I've watched - With Great Power: The Stan Lee Story; - Batman Begins: Behind the Mask; and - Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan's Hope Does anyone have any others to recommend?
  11. - very true. My brother in law is a mad Hawthorn fan and member. He'll be stoked!
  12. I've been doing some work on "Dan Land" - which is my comics, gaming and footy-watching room. Okay - so let me preface this by saying that this is very much just a progress shot. But I have the comic storage pretty much sorted now... some tweaks yet to occur. I put up some RIBBA picture ledges from IKEA. I've got a few more sitting in the cupboard but I am not sure if I'll stick more up.. as this looks quite clean as a display. Apologies for the bad shot - it's cut off and doesn't show the full length, but gives you an idea. The rest of my comic storage is done in the room's built-in wardrobe - with normal book display for trades, floppies in short boxes sorted by title or collecting focus and then the rest of my slabbed comics in pull-out drawers that allow for easy flick-through. I opened up the heavy curtain to take the pictures with natural light... but normally they are closed - leaving the room very dark - which is great for the longevity of the books on display. But if I do want to open them up, I have glass door access to a large under-cover entertainment area and the pool. It can be bloody nice to sit in there with the curtain open and read a book before slipping out for a dip! I have many more plans for this room - and will take more pictures and update as it progresses, but it's coming along sweetly (in my biased opinion) so far. Worth noting that I know the fan needs a dust... but I plan on replacing it with something very, very cool - so I haven't bothered. I'll post more pictures as the room progresses...
  13. Not sure which of these I'm going to keep or offload yet.. but if you're interested in any, let me know. This photo is full of Aussie print versions from 1957 and 1958: These are apparently British. Also from the same era:
  14. Great find. I'll definitely PO this. Note that the ps3 version comes with the 1st app skin, deathstroke dlc and knightfall pack, but the 360 one doesn't come with the knightfall pack. Wtf? I know right?? Annoying. Good news, however, is that they've just released an even better one. I just changed my pre-order to the definitive collection: The Batman: Arkham Origins Definitive Edition will include the following extensive bonus content: Exclusive Arkham Origins premium statue featuring LED effects produced by TriForce Beautifully rendered and highly detailed statue measuring approx. 9” x 13” x 11.5” 80-page, full-color hardcover artbook measuring approx. 7.5” x 10.75” x .5” Two key pieces of evidence taken directly from the Gotham City Police Department crime lab Batman Wanted Poster Batwing Prototype Schematic Anarky logo stencil Glow-In-The-Dark map of Gotham City Wayne Family Photo Assassin’s Intel Dossier, which includes files on the 8 assassins as well as Black Mask’s contract 1st Appearance Batman Skin: Look just like Batman did during his first appearance in Detective Comics #27, released in 1939. Deathstroke Challenge Pack – Unlock the ability to play as one of the world's deadliest assassins! Usable throughout all the Arkham Origins Challenge maps. Also includes two bonus challenge maps and two bonus Deathstroke Skins. https://www.ebgames.com.au/xbox360-163598-Batman-Arkham-Origins-Definitive-Edition-Xbox-360
  15. I'd wondered if they'd "move" inside the shell over time.... gravity and stuff.
  16. I think so. But probably twice as many would risk cracking the case(s) on the bottom. That is, simply put, the nicest display I've seen. I'd copy it in a heartbeat - but I'm wondering about the difficulty pulling out slabs from near the bottom of a pile and then putting it back in. I guess you'd have to take out the slabs above in chunks to reach the one at the bottom. I've been trying to implement a system that will allow me to flick through the covers with ease, but still maintain organisation. But while it has that functionality, it doesn't look as schmick as that!
  17. I nearly fell off my seat seeing some of the coin in that cabinet!! Awesome books mate. Love Nerdvana.
  18. And I'd be happy to have any of Revat's books.
  19. I'm in the same camp as Grails. I am unlikely to get an old, key, of significant worth, signed. But I'm also unlikely to ever own an old key of significant worth. But a key I can afford, if it's is signed by the right people, I'll go for it. When it comes to current books - I usually only go for the yellow label in CGC. Otherwise, I'd just get a raw copy. That said, when it comes to sigs I only want the people directly responsible for the book to sign it. First priority the cover artist or cover team (pencils, inks, colours), second priority the writer. Creators are also fair game. I'd get a Stan Lee on a comic that he created the character for, even if it's an issue he didn't directly play a creative role in. But I'd be pretty selective about it. Stan has a gift for placing an ugly sig in a bad spot. It's not uncommon to see auctions that have the wrong person's sig on the book.. they weren't involved, or didn't do the cover etc... for example, I got excited one time when drunk and bid for and won a variant cover SS, where the sig on the book was from the artist within the book, but not the cover artist. Always regretted that one.
