  1. Not happy with the end result.. but I was happy with how I drew her nose. One body part at a time.... Pencil: Then stuffing around with a Sharpie, Fineliner and some Derwent Inktense pencils - something I haven't tried before:
  2. This thread inspires the hell out of me. I'm gonna attempt a catwoman. Please don't flay me to death if it does her an injustice. hahahaha. Back soon.
  3. So many amazing artists in this thread, I really shouldn't add anything. I'm not in the same league, let alone ball park. But this is just a concept stuff-around where I experimented with charcoal and shellac. Shame about the camera flash. I really should get a scanner.
  4. So what do you guys end up doing with books you've purchased and then not been able to offload?
  5. Thanks so much for doing this test MSchmidt!! I'm glad I forked out the shipping to get some E. Gerber sent to my door over here. :-)
  6. Snapshot by Diggle/Jock via Image. Will it heat up or ...
  7. Typical result for me.. only results were from o/seas. Shipping more than the device itself.
  8. I went into officeworks but they only had the HP 8600 which seemed a little overkill. Wish I could find a simple flatbed scanner that fit legal. Surely they exist?!
  9. I liked it. Francavilla's got style. He's a friendly bloke too. Good value!
  10. Yeah mate - I'm absolutely stoked. Sara has used a range of amazingly vibrant colours and different mediums.. the "HA HA HA's" on the Joker are in a gold metallic, that shimmer and almost pop 3D as you move left and right of the slab. They are so much better in person I'm actually a bit amazed!
  11. This is a HORRIBLE photo, taken in a rushed manner, under fluro lights from an iPhone. The pic does NO justice.. simply amazing detail and colours. This is super bleached and washed out looking. Will have to find a scanner to get some quality scans done of these. But stoked with them:
  12. I'd probably stick with the M2. Maybe it's just my geographical location influencing it.. but they were really cheap. All I could source in Australia within a reasonable shipping price were poly's for marginally cheaper. None of the brick-and-mortar's I contacted within my state knew of anywhere I could even get mylar. Of course shipping from the states cost more than the product, but, considering how good the end result is, I don't care. Will definitely continue to buy this way.
  13. Can I just say a million, trillion thanks to mschmidty for this. My Gerber 725 M2's, 700 FB's and 914 M2's arrived from the super-cheap Bob Cook yesterday. I started out by marvelling at how nice it was to get the slabs out of the CGC bags and into the 914's. So crystal clear and beautiful. But it was when I started transferring my raws into the 725s with the FB's that my jaw truly dropped. It's taken a floppy that looked good in a poly and turned it into high-class, no holds-barred visual sex. CANNOT believe how good a modern looks in a 725. A million thank you's for this thread and recommendations.
  14. I have an extremely active imagination.... Hahahah WHO DOES THAT? Seriously, think about that... it would mean pulling down your strides... hovering above this cat which you're presumably straddling in the couch or on the living room rug like a pro-wrestler... the cat is hissing... scratching... you're trying to simultaneously keep your dangling plums away from the cat's frenzied swipes while not sh!tt!ing on your own hands... or worse, into the open top of your pants bundled around your ankles. Hopefully balance is not a problem for you so you don't sit down in it when you're only halfway through the job.... Maybe you don't burgle on your lonesome.. so there's an "associate" nearby, undoubtedly filming all this on their iPhone - like an insufficiently_thoughtful_person - just prepping the police's future case for them with plenty of evidence. Oh. And your krap. I dunno - can you get DNA from p00? Anyway.. I digressed. Either way. Wow. What a visual. I think it's probably safest course of action to not own a cat. What's your "technique"? Do you use CGC frames? Plate hangers? Custom-built ledges? etc etc...
  15. Hi. My name is Dan. I'm a Taurus. I enjoy walking on the beach and a nice pair of gym shorts. In the spirit of good will and all things nice; I'll take your registry bat set.... (on a 15 year payment plan) Dealio??
  16. Revat was a bloody star to deal with. Very prompt postage, exceptional packaging, great communication and, best of all, the right price. Not only "would do" business with again - but hope to.
  17. Thx for the tip - I'll check it out! :-)
  18. Yeah i noticed this after Snyder tweet a gush of love for the series. Figured I might check it out - I love Snyder's work, so if he likes this it figures I probably will too.
