This definitely is not good. Removing so many of the things that many of us pay for them to document and verify when grading is absolutely a horrendous idea. 
Remove siamese pages? Really. I have two books that this would be the only reason I would send them into them for grading.

If they cannot keep up with their job as graders and verification they really should reconsider what the heck they are doing.. 

Whose fist is it?  Doomsday's?  Did he appear anywhere else before this?  No?  Then this is Doomsday's first appearance.  Maybe not the most collectible Doomsday comic.  Maybe not the most valuable Doomsday comic.  Maybe not a full body appearance of Doomsday.  But this would be Doomsday's first appearance.

I'm one of those crazy people who believes that when a character first appears it's his first appearance.  That doesn't mean it will be his most valuable appearance, or the one that people want most, but it does mean it's his first appearance.

Just had my Avengers Infinity Quest pinball delivered today and set up in the comic/music room. The repeat playability is insane - I'll be trying to unlock different levels on this game for years.

I laughed at this.....and then I got to wondering if this was actually such a horrible idea.  
Has an artist ever done a signature in ink that's only visible under a black (UV) light? 
The artist could offer it in his "signing menu" and CGC could verify the signature is there.....but it wouldn't be visible (defacing the book) under normal lighting conditions. 
Horrible idea.........or pure genius that I will split the proceeds on with Chris (90/10 in my favor)?
 

I love it.
I'm sure most of us don't NEED to get extra fries or an even larger coke with our meal, that money could go to feeding the homeless or new socks or whatever.  But I ain't mad at McDonalds for trying to upsell me and I'm not mad at anyone getting an extra milkshake in addition to their super-size big mac meal.  Its their money, their business, everyone is acting legally, ethically, and letting the market work it out.

Meh.. I wouldn’t pay the asking rate - but Crain is an awesome artist and I dig his pixel-perfect signatures. It’s very niche to develop and market your own variant signatures and, while I wouldn’t fork out, I suspect that the diehard Crain fans are hip deep into it.

this place is tame compared to the way it used to be. I miss the days where being told to go fist yourself was commonplace.  Anyone want to meet me in the parking lot? 

I honestly don't feel it's a toxic environment at all. 
I read many threads but usually stay out of the mini dramas that sometimes occur. While, at times, I appreciate them for the entertainment value, I would rather talk about Spiderman than bash someone who's viewpoint I disagree with. 
There are members I don't particularly care for, but even those members bring a tremendous amount of knowledge to the boards. So I don't block them, I just ignore them when they behave in a way I don't agree with.

They can't very well say "sorry Mr. Crain, only boring black ink sigs like everyone else". 
The guy created unique signature styles and wants to capitalize off that.  Big deal. 
I'm not sure what they're "getting away with".  Offering customers a choice? Besides, they are nice signatures. 
I think you're wanting to blame CGC for something they aren't doing wrong at all. 

So long there is demand, there will be someone who will be offering. Still nothing tops the invisible comic.  

I have always loved the art in Spawn but have always struggled to engage with the writing.  

Spawn is a gold mine. The book was HUGELY popular when it launched, and against all odds, has maintained publication all those years since. So, you have a title that not only had a huge commercial peak, but it has lasted long enough that the rule of 25 and beyond can apply, so there are plenty of collectors remembering how much they loved Spawn, who are going back and trying to put the run together. And those late/mid issues are TOUGH. 
Spawn 1 is has one of the highest prints runs of all time, and yet, 9.8's are hitting, what, $200 now? True, we are at peak market insanity, but it's clear that there is still great interest in the title. 
I used to buy Spawns whenever I found them for a buck or so. I don't find them anymore. At least locally, the cheap reserves have dried up.
Now, onto the important topic: more than one person in this thread has testified that "Casablanca" is not a good movie. To these folks, I'd urge you to visit your physician immediately, as you've clearly suffered some sort of head trauma.

I read the first page of this thread and I gently weep for anyone who can't watch an old movie like Casablanca and not enjoy it for what it was.
And the 80s Batman movie is the best of all the Batman movies to this point!
