  1. This stuff makes me weep. It turns CGC into a monopolistic firm-the most inefficient kind. Not saying its CGC's fault-they are just reaping the benefits of zero competition.
  2. Such a great book. A lot of keys are dookie when you actually crack them for a read, but not this one. Great origin story beginning to end.
  3. Can't compete with the pretty 9.8, but here's mine:
  4. Very nice,but........You only get in half way,so no using the sauna,or the weight room. I'm takin' my ball and goin' home.
  5. The 123 looks ridiculously undergraded. Might be something on the back, but that is one clean 123... Hells yes!! Does it even HAVE a back cover, 'cause that is sssmokin'!!
  6. Bought a DC Super-Stars 17 from Michael. Super fast shipping and as described. Thanks!
  7. I just asked asked about that in the sales thread. What was the infraction?
  8. This is a cool thread, I'd like to play. My name is Buddy, and my older brothers had stacks of comics in the '80s. At some point (I think it was his 4th or 5th grade), my brother 5 years older than me made a lewd and lascivious gesture (he...err...exposed himself) to a girl in his class. I can't remember if he was expelled or received a lengthy suspension. My mother then discovered that he had been reading my 3 oldest brothers' comics which included some Heavy Metal magazines. She was not pleased. To the fireplace all the comics went, and I am ashamed that I, at around 5, gleefully contributed to the inferno. Years later, my brothers were still collecting mostly Marvel comics, and I discovered JRJR and Ann Nocenti's DD and Peter David and Dale Keown's Hulk among other great stories. I lost interest in collecting in my late teen years but still read as much as I could. In 2010, I picked up buying older back issues and have been hopelessly hooked. My focus right now is select Marvel runs and Marvel and DC keys. I'm glad to be here as it is a great place to buy and sell funny books.
  9. Can't wait to see it. +1 What a sick, sick book. My grail. One of these days...
  10. Sold a ST and a couple of John Carter books to James. He paid quickly and was very reasonable to deal with. Thanks again!
  11. I got a beater one o' these, too! (most my comics are beaters ) Ploog
  12. The colors just pop on your copy.I love picture frame Marvels. Oh yeah, that's nice.
  13. I wonder if this is for Flash's appearance on Arrow more than Batman/Superman movie...? -Ryan I saw the Flashpoint DC cartoon recently, and the scenes with the Flash moving at super-speeds were spectacular, especially the final battle between him and Reverse Flash. If they could take a cue from the DC cartoons, this could be really good.
  14. Andrew paid fast and was a joy to deal with. Thank!
  15. This thread brings joy to my heart. You, sir, are a trooper!!
  16. I bought a pair of UXM 129's from Art. Lightning-fast shipping, accurate grading, I'd definitely buy from him again.
  17. Bought a Batman 232 CGC 7.5 off of Mike. Super fast shipping and rock solid packing. Thanks!
  18. I'll throw a few of my lowly mid-grade copies into the ring!! I was a Marvel zombie exclusively when I got back into comics but have since expanded into the DC realm a bit, and GL is one of my favorites. The JL cartoons have endeared me to John Stewart. Love this cover. I like the cover to 41 too even if the composition's basically identical. And Sinestro, my favorite GL villain.
  19. That cover doesn't look white and bright enough to be a 9.8 to me. Is that just a function of your photography or is CGC so focused on technical nicks and such that considerations such as whiteness/brightness are ignored by its graders? Looks pretty dang nice to me!! (thumbs u
  20. Sorry, guys, and thanks! Shoulda posted the other pic (I edited my post). It's just a 7.0 crow. Looks nice, though, just edge wear.
