  1. Is that vol. 5? I'm getting the feeling that the movies are headed towards a Civil War type storyline, especially if Chris Evans' Steve Rogers is killed off in the movie universe. Yeah - Vol. 5 Just noticed it was discussed in another thread Slabbed 9.8's are definitely still cheap, I was able to get both of these in the past 6 months for under $130 combined:
  2. #34 (Bucky becomes the new Cap) the one to stock up on now while they are still cheap. There are a couple of variants also.
  3. This is AWESOME Where's your CAF gallery so I can leave a comment? I haven't posted in my CAf yet I will wait until I have them in hand and then am going to rescan everything. Congrats on your pieces and kudos for doing your first OA purchases the right way; research, asking questions, and patience. Now just wait for the eventual 'focus-shift'
  4. Might be time to let go of a set of Sex Criminals
  5. Just photocopy the book scaled up to match the OA size and cut out the masthead Ive done something similar by scanning the book and modifying in Photoshop. See 'Additional Images' at bottom http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1075402 I did mine on regular paper and cut out the pieces for the old-school look, but you can print on acetate for a clear overlay.
  6. http://www.comiconart.com/artist/Roc-Upchurch Edit: Upchurch's rep is fellow boardie jjeanius
  7. So.... Moderns heating up. Preacher 13 raws have crossed the $50 threshold. http://m.ebay.com/itm/251471547061?nav=SEARCH
  8. I've seen a few cool Defender/SOS pages on various dealer sites. Here's a good one: http://www.anthonyscomicbookart.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=33097&ArtistId=423
  9. there's a few episodes on YouTube; hopefully this will make it too Edit: agreed re: the sketchbook. Those little drawings look very cool.
  10. I knew I could get you fired up for implying you fall short of your goals
  11. Hey Access - where you been? I've missed your borderline inappropriate comments
  12. Issue 6 (IIRC) has a panel with Kirkman, Jim Lee, Eric Stephenson and the other Image owners in one panel; It's the group of guys on the yacht that get arrested.
  13. But seriously, I've bought from Court before (several years ago) and he does to above & beyond what most OA dealers will do.
  14. Nice Garf I enjoy pursuing CAF regularily. It's a great resource & source of entertainment. Always cool to see what others collect.
  15. Maybe I am off, but I see Preacher as kind of a Tier 2 Vertigo series. Tier 1: Swamp Thing, V, Sandman Tier 2: Preacher, Hellblazer, 100 Bullets, Transmet, Y IE the Tier 2 stuff is great, but isn't part of the "public consciousness" I understand where you're coming from & agree. I think Preacher & Y have the most potential to move to tier 1, however
  16. Mine are moving to the Dead Box very soon... And I'm not talking about Walking Dead
  17. I posted this in the SOL thread, but I thought is post here too. I just got this Laughing Ghost splash page from Pirate.... It's an awesome page
  18. You'll gain a better appreciation for the art after you read the story
  19. I read the first trade & really liked it; Brubaker does crime drama like no other.
  20. I agree - I could easily see The Massive as a TV show. Production wouldn't be a budget killer either.
