  5. My bolds... Unless eBay has to step in, the seller's final value fee is credited for a fully refunded item for managed payments sellers. Such a move as is suggested on a buyer's part could involve them in a further dispute upon the return, if the seller claims fraud or damage with only partial refund remedy, upon inspection of the returned item. So, yes, risk. David For managed payments sellers In these situations: Fees credited: You and the buyer agree to cancel the order You canceled the order because the buyer didn't pay but you were already charged fees. Learn more about when selling fees are charged You refund a buyer in full for a return or an item not received request, or you initiate a refund through the refund flow You issue a voluntary refund for a payment dispute Final value fee (variable component only. The $0.30 per order fixed amount will not be credited) Promoted listings fee Any applicable additional final value fees for not meeting performance expectations International fee (if applicable)

David LINK TO SUB-MARINER #1 (1968) EBAY AUCTION Four days left on my silver age Sub-Mariner #1, which I got graded this summer, coming back at a nice 8.0 OW/W pages! 7. This great example of Wayne Boring's style (possibly Win Mortimer) Superman daily comic strip art from 1949 on Craftint Singletone Drawing Board is from the "Superman, Male Escort" story written by Alvin Schwartz. Inked by Stan Kaye. "Another Shiner" has a violent good girl action panel! David
  8. Bump to announce that the reserve is met, and this cool Bronze Age original cover art will sell! Auction ends Monday evening Eastern Time. Sincerely, David S. Albright
  9. Curious to see how this Walt Howarth British cover art in HA weekly auction ends up. Sold in June for $1080. LINK TO Howarth Cover Art Auction on HA (not mine) Compare to Fielding's 2016 lot sold as original cover art to same book (see pic). David
  10. Seller may just be seeing if there is high interest/demand for this type of art before launching an actual sale or auction, and at what price. Seems like $100-$150 a page. or $3000-$4000 for all, would be a place to start, but I'm out. Be cool if the cover art (also by Nodel) was part of it! Great tiger. Best, David
  11. Oh, no, this is just part of my personal collection. Wanted to buy and sale/trade posts are best handled in the Marketplace and through personal messages I got this through eBay, iirc, and gifted it to my father-in-law who was a Civil War buff. When he passed away, I was fortunate to have it returned to me from his estate as a gift returned to sender. Glad you like it, David
  12. LINK TO THE EBAY YOGI BEAR #32 ORIGINAL COVER ART AUCTION Thanks for checking this out! Follow the link to enter the auction. Here is an uncredited published piece of Charlton Studio original comic book art for the cover of Yogi Bear #32 for July 1976, stamped with approval on reverse 1975. I have decided to start the auction at $9.95 to allow for some harmless thrill bidding, with a modest reserve of $300. Have at it! Clean published art has original title stats and appropriate Comic Code Authority initialed stamp on reverse. Guaranteed original. Oversized, about 11.5 X 17" overall, rendered on standard Bristol art stock. A little white-out. A copy of the comic book is included. Send me any questions or comments in the thread or personal message! Click images when they have loaded to enlarge. Sincerely, David S Albright
  13. Nice, I hadn't heard of Stanley Pitt. Is this him?.......David Stan Pitt – artist of Gully Foyle. Considered one of the finest artists to emerge from the Golden Age of Australian comics. Heavily influenced by Alex Raymond (in particular Flash Gordon), Pitt’s artwork was distinguished by its clean lines and heavy attention to detail.
  14. 20 X 26" some sort of color lithograph, needs research, signed and numbered from an edition of 250? Seems like quite a large edition for this type of print, maybe a student work, final project or such, unknown artist "BIX". Accented by a "Puggy" crate label mounted on a barrel stave (my concept on that one!). David
  15. I've been watching the Ken Burns documentary on Muhammed Ali (quite interesting, I've gotten to about 1968), so let's see some boxing art! A showpiece in my collection remains this World's Finest #302 cover for April 1984 by Hannigan and Janson. Batman has green kryptonite gloves. David
  16. It was suggested in the instagram thread that perhaps John Dolmayan topped the highest bid and bought it himself (speculation), and some comments similar to what we have here, that not revealing the "price" leaves us with, well, nothing, really. David
  17. Pasted from the instagram link... torpedocomics Torpedo Comics is proud to announce that Jim Lee's X-Men #1 original art has sold at a record breaking price! Our greatest thanks goes out to everyone who submitted their offers. We congratulate the winner and the new home of this iconic piece of comic book history. At the buyers request both the accepted bid and the identity of the buyer will remain private. Each creator, writer and artist plays an integral role in the continued growth and expansion of this medium. What Jim Lee and Scott Williams accomplished is timeless and will continue to be enjoyed by us, the fans, and the generations to come. We all owe thanks to Stan Lee and Jack Kirby for their imagination and hard work; they were pioneers who created the world we all take such joy in. This moment proves the power their work has in creating an everlasting impression in the hearts of their fans. We will offer more one of a kind opportunities so please stay tuned. Thank you, John Dolmayan
