  1. Cover B is actually the hotter of the two. According to discussion in the Black Science thread the print run was originally supposed to be split evenly between the A and B covers, as it was for issue #1 (ignoring the variants), but apparently that went out the window and most retailers ended up getting shortchanged on cover B. So it has become an incentive variant of sorts. Of course nobody knows the number breakdown between the two covers, but cover B is definitely the lower printed of the two. Both are worth grabbing for cover though, as this book likely saw a significant drop in print number from issue 1 to issue 2 but reviews have brought demand back to it. The 2nd print for the first issue releases next week with the 2nd print for issue 2 releasing towards the end of January, I believe.
  2. more interested in the Shadow of the Colossus movie
  3. Purchased a few books from Jim; they were all accurately graded and shipped quickly and safely.
  4. Bought a raw high grade Batman from this seller. Excellent.
  5. In the entirety of the world? Perhaps not. But it is harder to find on ebay, and by that I mean that at any given time there are likely to be significantly fewer copies of 17 for sale than there are copies of 18. Also if you check Superman lots as opposed to individual listings, for whatever reason many of the assorted Superman and/or MoS lots from that time period will include issue 18 but not 17.
  6. Kids who grew up in the 80s and 90s watching the Batman, X-Men, and Spider-Man cartoons on Fox are now in their 20s and 30s and have disposable income to blow on things like collecting comics. The characters that were featured in these shows that were creations of the 80s and 90s (as opposed to the characters that had been around since the gold and silver age) have all seen an increase in demand over the past couple of years. Newer characters like Gambit were just as popular with kids back in the day as any of the original X-Men. So you have newer collectors that have strong ties (and perhaps even stronger ties) to the newer crop of characters than they do with any of the characters created decades before. Even if someone does favor someone like Cyclops over Cable, there is a good chance they cannot afford those older books anyway. Why Harley Quinn specifically is so popular? I'm not exactly sure, she just seems to be everywhere (except on the big screen), so that likely has something to do with it. Another big part of it from what I can see is her strong female following. I've sold more Harley books over the past year (mostly non-keys btw) than anything else and I would say probably 70% of my buyers have been females. I sold a handful of BA 12s last Christmas and every one of them was purchased by a female.
  7. MoS 18 has been selling quite well for awhile. Anywhere from 10-25 dollars for eBay NM. Most of the eBay sales have actually been under-priced as the listings typically sell within a few days. But no, it isn't getting anywhere near the hype that X-Factor 6 is getting. Not yet, anyway. Over the past few months MoS 17 raws have been commanding a higher price than issue 18, although I think the reason for that is that there have been significantly fewer copies available. With the 5 printings of 18 that book is always readily available on eBay.
  8. Seems more like a "Danger Girl" cover Are you referring to this? If so, that book is from 2010 and it's not even a #1. No, Black Widow vol 5 #1 that releases Jan 8th. I'm not even sure if the final cover has been shown yet.
  9. This thread is for discussion for books selling well on eBay. The point of this thread is to make people money or at least give them the opportunity to do so. Not sure why you would complain about that in a thread where that is the specific purpose of said thread.
  10. If you are talking about regular DC universe/canon then Superman/Batman Annual 4 is the book to get over Batman 700. 1. It was released a week earlier. 2. It has a third, 33k, the print run of Batman 700 (over 100k obviously). The print run for the 2nd printing of Superman/Batman Annual 4 was only around 4k according to comichron. 3. Superman/Batman Annual 4 has consistently sold for a higher price.
  11. Its quite possible that NM 87 is currently the more popular search as people are checking that book out a lot lately, due to X-Force movie news, to see what kind of movement there is on it, especially the 2nd print. NM 98 is a known quantity at this point.
  12. Just a quick heads up... There is no way that book is NM. If the lazy listing wasn't a big enough warning look at his feedback
  13. Again I think people in this thread and across this entire forum are underestimating how many kids that grew up in the 80s and 90s reading comics and watching the Batman, Spider-Man, and X-Men cartoons on Fox have grown up and can now afford to put money into things like comic collecting So while villains like Mr Sinister and Apocalypse haven't been around nearly as long as characters like Magneto or Juggernaut you are seeing a large interest in the newer characters because they were just as big during those collector's childhoods as the mega villains that had already been around for decades at that point in time. Plus their first appearances are much more affordable.
  14. Issue 2 was good, might wait for the trades with this book though. Feels like a movie that would be better to read all at once.
  15. What is just a rumor? New X-Men movie is called X-Men: Apocalypse. (i was going to say maybe but entertainment weekly says its fact) X-Factor 5 and 6 are first appearance of Apocalypse. Yeah I already knew that. Except that was tweeted by Singer, so I'm not sure why he referred to it as a rumor. I figured his comment was about something else. I imagine he will pop up at the end of the DOFP movie. A Back to the Future part II kind of thing where the X-Men return to the their respective appropriate points in time and think everything is good only to find out everything is still messed up in the future with Apocalypse having arrived/returned.
  16. Pretty sure the market already reacted to Apocalypse's assumed appearance in the X-Men movie franchise months ago. Not to say X-Factor 6 won't increase in price more than it already has. If you want to get ahead of the curve then I would suggest looking into Uncanny X-Men 221.
  17. I find you quoting the whole thing to be obnoxious. Another forum user had inquiries and they were asked and answered. That info was asked for and is in the interest of many others in this thread.
  18. Except they advertise for sale the stuff they have bought on their show during their podcasts.
  19. arguing, infighting, and e- measuring are regularly scheduled programming in this thread...
  20. I'm pretty sure the 17 feedback bidder is also selling an Infinity Gauntlet set and trying to drum up the interest and prices for this book.
  21. Imagine if that crappy character Jericho wasn't on the cover.
  22. Is that the one with his origin? yeah it is quite a trip. A lot of talking animals and clown robots.
  23. Don't remember if I've mentioned this book before in this thread: http://www.ebay.com/itm/291008412851
