  1. Netflix has more subscribers than HBO, in the US anyway. I assume you were talking in terms of content quality though.
  2. How is that kids comic about the bear with the misprinted pages doing on the secondary market?
  3. How is that any different from watching a movie once? Besides, the press releases indicate that these series will be released over the course of several years, as opposed to Arrested Development being released in its entirety all at once. And since all of the characters team up at the end for the Defenders mini series, it is likely that they will have guest starring roles among the various shows prior to the final mini series anyway. Also, I'm not sure why you are using Arrested Development as an example. Arrested Development was never popular to begin with, that is why it was cancelled in the first place. For the amount of drek that gets pushed in this thread, it is a bit ridiculous to downplay the first appearance of a character from the big two that just got her own TV series.
  4. +1. I gotta go with Jimmy on this one, huge difference in viewership in Netflix and prime time TV / major motion picture. Netflix currently has over 31 million subscribers and since VOD is becoming the next big thing, who knows how many it will have it in 2015. It actually did have an effect on some books...
  5. I would strongly suggest getting rid of that now if you only bought it as a money making opportunity.
  6. Prompt payment and communication. Good buyer.
  7. Except it has been steadily increasing in price for at least a year, long before it was discussed at length here. And other books involving Harley have also been increasing, outside of even the one shot, Mad Love, and the first issue of her solo series. Batman Adventures 28 for example.
  8. I'm not sure how much of the plot they are inclined to give away. I'm not familiar with the story line from the comics, but from the trailer its pretty obvious that it involves time traveling. The dialogue spoken in the trailer explains pretty much exactly what is happening. Obviously it has to remain a bit vague as time traveling movies are usually a bit convoluted to begin with, plus they don't want to give away the villains. If you aren't invested in the X-Men movies by now, I don't think you ever will be, so I don't know how much this trailer is responsible for attracting new viewers to the franchise. The last film was a logical "jumping on" point for anyone who somehow missed out on the first three movies. If you skipped out on First Class despite that and the fact that it had positive reviews and a notable class, I don't think the franchise will ever get your dollar.
  9. Not to rain on the parade here, but how often does a modern marvel/dc incentive variant actually maintain the price that the issue sells for during pre-sales and the first week of release?
  10. 10/12 - graded 10/18 - grading/quality control 20 business days so far with the 15 day standard coupon 10/22 - shipped
  11. my 15 day coupon was received 9/23. I was told it would ship this past Friday or today at the latest. Doesn't look like that will happen.
  12. 10/12 - graded 10/18 - grading/quality control 20 business days so far with the 15 day standard coupon Does that take into consideration 'con' days? My understanding is that those don't count as business days for the CGC headquarters. I have no idea, this was my first submission.
  13. 10/12 - graded 10/18 - grading/quality control 20 business days so far with the 15 day standard coupon
  14. it happens from time to time, I can't currently view my submission status either.
  15. 15 day standard coupon: 9/23 - received/verified 10/10 - scheduled for grading
  16. 150 dollars in profit with the initial investment being how much?
  17. Not really. That first bidder entered a maximum bid first of 500 bucks. Only his lowest leading bid was initially shown at the time. All of his bids that came after are the result of the second bidder continuing to attempt to outbid the first. He only increased his bid a little each time in trying to find the first bidders high bid, and didn't reach it until he bid over $500.
  18. I also much preferred Man of Steel to Iron Man 3. I've probably read fewer than 10 issues of both Superman and Iron Man in my life.
  19. the show was terrible but if it continues to maintain its ratings going against NCIS, especially among the key male demographic, it will be on for years.
  20. I would think it would be the variant to 655, then 656, then the regular issue of 655.
  21. Nah this is straight up boring. Gordon is a support character and making it like all the cop dramas does not spell ratings. Plus he would be outgunned and outmatched by super-villains without Batman as the lead. This is like making a show about the place Batman will appear in just he's not here now. NCIS is pretty much a cop show and its the number 1 show on television. CSI was the number 1 show for years and that is even more procedural than NCIS with even less action. So perhaps you would find it boring, the genre might not be your cup of tea, but there is a substantial market for this type of program. It doesn't sound like you are very familiar with Batman. While a good number of his most prominent adversaries are beyond being dealt with by a regular cop, quite a few of them are regular old humans with no sort of superpower or otherwise enhanced ability. For every Clayface or Killer Croc there is a Black Mask or Mr. Zsasz. And again, while these characters source material is a comic book, a good many of them could exist theoretically in the real world, and their uniqueness would bring something to the table that other cop shows cannot.
  22. Not sure why it would automatically be boring. It would be a cop show with much more interesting and outrageous villains than the typical police procedural. Something like the "monster of the week" episodes of the X-Files, only with more action, mixed with organized crime centered shows like Boardwalk Empire or The Sopranos.
  23. His first printed appearance is the Iron Man/Fury/Hulk one-shot. I don't disagree with you, was merely pointing out the distinction
