  1. "Even so, I believe that there are really nice comics sitting in collections of below the radar collectors that likely have not seen the light of day since the 50s, 60s or 70s and are largely forgotten." The first part of this statement is a fact. There's a lot of raw stuff out there that's not in circulation and hasn't been for decades. The point of them being "largely forgotten" I don't think is valid. They're not forgotten - at least as far as my definition of forgotten goes.
  2. Well researched and presented. Thanks for the education.
  3. For all of these single pages Golden Age comics had to die.
  4. As I understand it, the current and proposed GA books are not GA size and let's face it the Detective 27 and the ones solicitated are all readily available. I'd be interested in books that are not so readily reprint available - for example: Phantom Stranger (GA); More Fun 52 and 53; Detective 140 and 143; Detective 298 etc
  5. How far back does this volume go? Do you have other such volumes?
  6. All day long it is. The bidding/buying habits of some leave me shaking my head...
  7. What's the context behind this bound volume? Some nice copies btw.
  8. Make it 5...I love the Leo Sommers' issues. I bought Bomba #1 off of the stands back in '67. It's a great book. I still kick myself for not picking up some Sommers Bomba #1 art that Mitch had years ago...
  9. ...and artists knew how to draw...
  10. Demand trumps scarcity all day long...
  11. I'd much prefer the Wagner card over this Mantle card...
  12. Signatures on the cover are a desecration.
  13. NEVER expose your books or art to any kind of light - natural or otherwise.
  14. If you know the owner and want the piece, then agree on a price and a payment schedule...
  15. I thought EXACTLY the same thing - probably because the guy didn't ask him to autograph the book...
  16. Now that the show is ending it will be interesting to follow OA (and comic) prices. Is the comic ending too? Sorry I just follow the show.
