  1. Nice dislay. Issue 6 has a date variant while issues 7 through 12 have both 10 cent and 15 cent cover pricing. CGC lists a Turok #17 as a Canadian Variant. Does anyone have any intel on this?
  2. Which came first - The Gremlins or The Gremlin? From the 1943 Bugs Bunny cartoon "Falling Hare" Explore
  3. I don't know how HA can call that a "recreation". A "reinterpretation" yes but a "recreation" absolutely not.
  4. Yup - last I read about that was, as you posted, that they had cleared the air which to me should mean that there's nothing standing in the way of him being in 3. So far though, nary a word. Shame if he isn't in it IMO. How far along is shooting ?
  5. Anyone that falls for this one deserves to see that piece up for sale later on.
  6. This guy probably had multiple copies of each book coming out his ying yang
  7. I love this book. I bought a copy when it first came out. It was a 10.0; bone white pages; and I paid 12 cents for it.
  8. It IS great stuff but it covers no real new ground in that the issues to be contained in this Omnibus are almost identical to those included in the "Superman Man of Tomorrow" three volume DC archives series. It's an annoying trait of DC. They take the material to a certain point and then stop and start all over again. Besides this Superman example, there are numerous other examples of this - the Superman/Batman DC Chronicles series being one of them. This was a great series - affordable; good quality reproduction; and, it reproduced the World's Finest stories as well. Then it abruptly stopped. The point is well taken though that the Archives have been out of print for sometime now. Some are hard to find some are not. Either way they can be pricey. This Omnibus and hopefully future ones will give readers a cost friendly vehicle for reading these great stories. I'd also like to see them issued in smaller increments too. Those omnibus volumes are unwieldy and heavy. You mention Challengers. That Archives series that went two volumes (up to issue #8) and then stopped. What happened? I'd like DC to issue the early 50s Phantom Stranger run as well as The New Adventures of Charlie Chan. How about a reissue of the Golden Age Spectre? - I missed it the first time and it's now very pricey.
  9. I wonder whether Steve sent himself a letter chastising himself on his spelling.
  10. What books? There are no photos attached...
  11. He wasn't the only one who did that and I agree - very sad.
  12. You've told yours but we still haven't heard Mitch's. We need to hear his.
  13. I was waiting for you to say something like that...
  14. Love the signage on the door to the right of the Metropolis booth. The top sign says "EXIT" while the one taped to the door says "NOT AN EXIT".
  15. Your original post mentions that you're planning to invest in Flash comics in a year and you also ask whether there could be an increase in value to Flash comics produced between 1987 and 2011. That's an investment query either directly or indirectly.
  16. What's so special about this period that makes you think that investing in it is a good idea?
  17. Looks can be deceiving. I've seen "well heeled" turn into "heel" more than once. One should treat every transaction like boxing - protect yourself at all times.
  18. You're in Canada - he's in the US - you're dealing with two different currencies and two different countries. Based on my experience dealing with this exact situation, your bank is probably going to tell you 30 business days give or take. 1. Ask your bank NOW - not when you deposit it. The reason being is that you'll need to advise the purchaser ASAP that there's going to be a delay due to the fact that his cheque has to clear before you send. He could well be under the impression that you're going to ship as soon as you deposit his cheque. He's not going to want to hear that he has to wait 30 days after you've deposited the cheque, 2. Ask your bank your bank to explain the exact process to you in case they can't/won't pin it down. Then you can relay that to the buyer. 3. "A. Williams" has a first name - make sure that you know what it is. Also phone number and street address (as opposed to a P.O. Box). 4. Find out about insurance ASAP - some carriers may well have a maximum amount of insurance that you can buy.
