Just a short sales thread with three books. These are the first books I have submitted to CGC myself. I purchased all the books raw. I did not have any of the books cleaned or pressed. I will close the thread tomorrow night as I have an eBay promo that caps final value fees at $20 for listings made by 2/18. The rules: No buyers on lists No Paypal for these purchases. Showcase #32 1.8-2.0 ish $30 Cover detached. Spine is split, but front and back covers are still attached to each other.

Brave & Bold #10, #11 1.0-1.8ish Pair for $35 #10 Has tape on spine and some interior pages. #11 has tape and 1/3 of back cover is missing.

A seller must have an "economic nexus" in the buyer's state for sales tax to be required. Each state defines economic nexus as they see fit. eBay is forcing sellers to charge that tax regardless of whether or not the seller meets the definition of economic nexus. At the same time, eBay is costing the seller money. eBay charges the tax and Paypal takes its fee out of the total, including the tax. The seller then remits the gross amount of the sales tax to eBay. It amounts to just pennies per transaction, but it rubs me the wrong way. Legally, I am not required to pay state tax in any state other than the one in which I reside because my sales are under each threshold. The amount is not material to me, but eBay is taking money out of every seller's pocket. If they are the seller of record, let them take the risk of returns, damages, inventory risk, etc. Otherwise, don't collect the tax. Or, if they do, don't stick the seller with the nuisance Paypal fees. The economic nexus test for Alabama (first on the alphabetical list), is $250,000 per year. Anything under that and seller does not have an economic nexus. States that have a threshold range from 200 transactions to as much as $500,000 and a number of transactions threshold (MA). In the $6,000 purchase referenced above, eBay would have stuck the seller with $12 in Paypal fees for the tax on that transaction (in Ohio, anyway).

I'm about to post a few more random books. I have had a couple PMs. I picked up all the above books in lots. I've taken what I wanted and am just moving along the rest. Prices seemed to have been crazy and I've been out of touch on some of the more volatile books. What I am saying is feel free to send me offers, especially on the Bakers and School Day Romances. I didn't want to give these away, but also do not need top dollar.

I'll try and squeeze in a couple more before heading out tonight. School Day Romances #1 3.0ish $125 $75 LB Cole cover. General wear. Top staple might be loose at centerfold. I've forgot and re-bagged it. Assume it is and I'll confirm later.

Wanted Comics #35 2.0ish $35 $25...a SOTI book for $25?!? Used in SOTI. Many interior pages are dog eared, some are chipped. Interior pages are tan. Piece of tape inside.

Pep #89 1.8-2.0ish $15 $10 Nice Betty GGA cover. Cover detached with piece missing near spine. Stain by lower staple with a little rust.
