Complete Mystery #4 - $25 SOLD A Squealer Dies Fast! Cover detached. Spine roll. Marvel pre-code crime.

Perfect Crime #22 - $15 SOLD Hanging cover. Some water damage and mildew. EDIT - Oops, forgot the scan.

Perfect Crime #19 - $40 SOLD One of the nicer books in this lot. Call it a VG.

Saint #5 - $25 SOLD Another bug chew. Just like the Marvel Mystery, the chew gets worse toward the back of the book. All pages are affected. Still a great cover though.

Big Town #2 and #4 - $25 for the pair Great colors on issue #2. Cover detached. At least first wrap has spine split. Pages are cream, but...issue #4 is essentially split in half. Basically every page of the book has a complete spine split as the spine was brittle. Issue #2 has much better page quality, but I did not open the book to lay it flat given the spine of issue #4. Cheap readers.

Katy Keene #1 - $125 SOLD Complete, but beat copy. Cover and first two wraps are detached. Third wrap is detached at bottom staple. Centerfold is attached solidly though. Last ad page has two pieces out the affect a house ad and an ad for shoes. Cover has horizontal tear running almost 2/3 of the cover. An incomplete 3.0 sold for $300 in Oct 2018. This book has apparently been heating up.

Super-Mystery Comics V6 #3 - $45 SOLD This is one of the hottest issues of the run. Unfortunately, it is coverless. It is complete. While the splash is not as catching as the cover, it still has the woman in the giant paper cutter. There are panels throughout the story with her and her red dress in the paper guillotine (no less than 8 panels). Book is complete. Cover is attached at the back cover. Spine split at top of spine. Two center wraps are loose. Restored 2.5 sold for $300 a little more than a year ago.

Ok, just one book. I have been called away. I'll try and post more later tonight. Marvel Mystery Comics #84 - $90 SOLD Not sure how to price this one as there is not many comparables. Pages are nice and supple and the book looks good...except for the bug chew. The chew gets worse toward the back of the book. The good news is that the damage to the cover is minimized. The bad news is that every page is effected.

I'll start posting in another 15-20 minutes.

Human Torch #27 - $18 SOLD Coverless, but complete. Bug chews through the entire book. Bottom panel is affected on every page, some more than others. It is readable (panel text is bug chewed away on some pages though), but ugly.

Meet Corliss Archer #1 Cover Wrap - $10 SOLD Feldstein. Just the cover wrap. No interiors. Covers are attached.

Willie #16 $30 SOLD Tanning on covers.

Hedy De Vine #28 - $25 SOLD Great GGA cover. Big spine roll. Cover is split maybe 2/3. Cover attached at top staple.

Nellie #12 - $25 SOLD Two pages inside have tears, one within a panel. Great GGA inside including two nurses fighting...reminds me of Kramer Cacacacat fight!

Junior Miss #38 - $15 Covers (especially back cover) tanning.

Love Tales #43 - $18 Tiny bug chew upper right corner. Water stain.

Jeanie #13 - $18 SOLD Spine roll. Dark dust shadow on exposed page ends at top, but it does not extend into the book. Small bug chew in upper right corner. Some of the art is poorly placed on the page (art printed close to page edge) and the bug chew just touches the edge of some of those extreme panels.

This thread will be mostly low grade golden age books. I purchased a small lot of books for what amounted to a handful that I wanted. This will mostly be left overs from that lot. The thread will include GGA, crime, a few romance issues and maybe some westerns or other random books. I have a few bug chew comics, one of which is an otherwise nice looking copy of Marvel Mystery Comics #84. I may also throw in a few DC 1970s romance comics.
